Hello all at madjacks this is neverteaseit I am currently serving in Baghdad at this time. If possible we would ask for your help. Us soldiers don't wanna seem like beggers but it is very hard for us to get items here in Iraq. The px gets mortared constantly and shelf items are very limited. If possible we are looking for care packages from the states. We don't need high dollar items it is the small thing we miss the most. Some hardly get anything at all from the states and I share with all.

Local newspapers from various cities, hard candy for the iraqi kids who keep us from harms way. They tell us what roads not to travel that have IED'S or where an Ambush may occur. The kids here are more than willing to help especially if e have candy. We will take produst from a dollar general store, like foot powder, baby wipes, body lotion, crackers and beef sticks with the chesse in the package. The food here sucks lol, so some of us eat like birds. We have plenty of sunblock, chapstick and batteries.

If you could as people in your communities, churches, etc. willing to help out it would not go unappreciated. We miss all back home for sure but we all have a mission to do here and any support is greatly appreciated.

We will continue to preserve freedom for others who want it, and to keep those at home safe. We came here not by our wishes but we still have a job to do and we conitnue to do it everyday, most of us work 12-15 hours a day 7 days a week. Plus we are being mortared 5-10 times everyday. But we still have not lost a soldier yet from our brigade :). The only incidents so far has been soldiers poisoned from food they ate from people in Iraq. Most of the time we take it out of kindness and discard it but these guys ate it and became very ill but they are all ok now. Some also got injured when a mortar hit the outdoor area at the px but none critically injured.

Thank you so much!!!! GOD BLEES AMERICA

Probably a dumb question, but I honestly don't know the answer, do you just package some stuff up in a brown box and take it to the local post office or does it have to be shipped through the military?

Sorry for the stupidity.

PF,

Just take it to a post office like you would anything else. The 'AE' stands for 'Army Eastern(theater)' and it will be handled just as any package sent to Bowling Green, KY would be.

Yes, we should, and I will on monday or tuesday. For 10 or 15 bucks(including shipping), we can make a lot of people very happy. Trust me. Just in case anybody wonders, the postage is the same as for any domestic shipment. Our guys over there deserve this, at the very least.

75%? Please. If we got ten people total to send something, I would consider it a huge feat. I mean, can you imagine somebody like Dr. Freeze or S-Love sending anything? We should all do this. It really doesn't matter what you send, just send something!

I'm definatly in, anyone know what other stuff they need most besides the couple items he mentioned?

Nole, I don't think those guys will reply simply because they may act tough behind a keyboard, but in reality they know the truth.

Click-N-Ship?! Print shipping labels to send packages

Estimated shipping time from MILWAUKEE, WI 53204 to APO, AE 09372 (Zone 5) is Military Mail.

Mark the package "Priority Mail" in the postage area.

For security reasons, Priority Mail paid with postage stamps and weighing 16 ounces or more must be deposited at a post office retail counter or handed to a letter carrier.

This is what I come up with for a 8 pound box, Wife is out shopping right now so two packages will be on the way tomm :
