The New York Times suggested in an editorial Monday that Tiger Woods skip the Masters next year because of the all-male membership at Augusta National Golf Club.

"A tournament without Mr. Woods would send a powerful message that discrimination isn't good for the golfing business,'' the editorial said

That's real easy for them to say, they don't have the talent in their whole body that Tiger has in his little toe, the ignorant PHUCKS!! :thefinger :nutkick

lol, nice smilies!
The article was obviously written by a moron whose type abounds in the media industry. I'm sure Tiger will skip the Masters in objection to the no women policy

They have already polled players and 100% of those polled including Tiger said they'd play regardless of of any pressures from womens organization or Jessie Jackson who's now entered the picture.
Burk said the publicity she has received is worth its weight in gold.True who ever heard of the bitch before this.If I was a women I could think of many more useful purposes for my buck to be spent.
--and Jessie He will find he is out of his element. He needs to spend his time counciling the murderers, drug addicts ect that infest other sports.
Maybe if Jessie and womens org picket together he could give seminars in the evening to his co-hearts on the sanctity of marriage and family values:moon:

---and if this pressure on advertisers is taken seriously the 1st to pull out might get a wakeup. after all these corporate sponsers of golf do not target Jessies and Burks followers. If amex pulled out I could not wait to send in my cut up card and transfer my SEP account along with telling them why--and I am sure I am not by myself.

First, all of the sponsors have pulled out of the tournament a while back at Hootie Johnson's request. Rather than have them suffer the abuse of Ms. Burk's strongarm tactics, Mr. Johnson just told his advertisers that Augusta National would go it alone this year and took them off the hook - a gentlemanly thing to do. Second, I read in this morning's paper that Tiger is going to play. Third, Jesse Jackson was complaining about the editorial in the NY Times because he says it's undue pressure on Woods, that Nicklaus was never asked not to play at Augusta when they had no black members.

The latest I heard was that Ms. Burk is now targeting the network itself for broadcasting the Masters. I forget which network carries the Masters, but whoever it was said they were going to broadcast regardless of the pressure. I also read in today's paper that Jesse Jackson and Ms. Burk are planning demonstrations outside the golf course during the Masters.

So, Ms. Burk has decided to dictate to a private club who they can or cannot have in their organization. Jesse Jackson has decided to join in since the cameras will be readily available during the Masters and he hasn't had any serious face time on national TV in a while. And the rest of us will have to listen to the incessant harping of this shrew as our rights of free association are further withered away by folks like herself who feel they know what is best for everyone.

I hope that Hootie Johnson continues to tell this bitch where to get off. I'll never see any part of Augusta National but I don't really give a damn, it's their club, they can do what they want. But I am exceedingly tired of listening to the nefarious whinings of people like Ms. Harp who think they have the right to meddle in the affairs of private organizations in the name of political correctness.

Just my humble opinion.

i'd tell Ms. Burk that as soon as the National Council for Women removes the word "women" from its name, has as many males as femals in it; all minorities are equally represented in the council ; and that men are allowed to have leadership positions in the council (half of all positions must be male-occupied) - then and only then would i acknowledge to her politically correct bullsht..........however because it is so absurd, i would still not listen to it.......

for any organization to have any credibility they must notbe hypocritical.....things that Ms. Feminazi Burk calls are in direct contradiction to what her organization is composed of........unbelievable

Why the hell has Jessie Jackson entered the picture? Does his mistress want to join the Masters? WTF? Is he just trying to jump on a hot subject to gain the female vote? What else does he have to gain from this?

Why doesn't the NY Times refuse to cover the tournament? If they want Tiger to skip it, let them not write a word about it. Or are they concerned that their readership would drop? Too many examples where certain segments of society are excluded to make a big deal out of this. And if they did admite women, would they have to hit off the white tees or ???????

Women already play golf at Augusta. They have for many years now. They are welcome to play with any member at any time. The course is only open for play about 7 months out of the year.Out of the 300 or so members.Only around 50 are local. And many succussful men are turned down membership every year.Augusta was already forced to accept black members back in the early 90's now they wil be forced to accept women.I just watched The Best Damn Sports Show and Feminazi Burk was on there. To hear her talk makes me sick. She is the womens Jesse Jackson. She runs a discrimanating organazation of her own and now she attacking Augusta because she says they are discriminating.Doesnt the constitution of America allow us the rights as a private party to include or exclude who we want to.When is enough...enough?????Whats the difference in sororties, girl scouts,Miss America pagent, and all other gender select organizations that exclude males going to allow us to become members?????????????Unfortunately....the NOW will win and a few women will become members and this will be a dead issue in a year.I cant wait to see Jesse and his boys protesting out in front of Augusta. It will be hilarious!!!!Whats so funny is he wants one of his OWN people to boycott"Tiger".Isnt it ironic that he wants the only half black golfer to boycott a chance for history by winning 3 times in a row.It seems to me he would want the only half black golfer to break the all white history books. But you got to remember...this is Jesse Jackson were dealing with....And as for Mrs Burke.....please get a life and fight for womens rights that mean something like...........spousal abuse, political candidates, abortion, and single parent homes.Leave the ultra private clubs alone. They havent done nothing to hurt you or any women in America...........

This is from Jesse's anti semetism, this statement would have never been made if it was the La Times instead of the Ny Times he would have never made this comment, guaranteed.
