I'm getting paranoid about FACEBOOK.

First off, I have my privacy settings finely tuned. Nobody gets to see shit about me unless they are on my friends list. Also, that's why I never play games or give any of their apps permission to access and "share" my information.

Now they have this face recognition software? Bag this crap. I'm thinking about terminating my account.

Read this crap!

Five Reasons Facebook's Facial Recognition Feature is a Bad Idea

You better check your settings and regularly. Unless you don't care who is snooping around your family's business.

Deleting my facebook account was literally one of the best things I've done in years.

I actually thought I'd miss it. NOT! Do it and you won't be disappointed.

On the course!
Get off of that place, man. When I started getting birthday greetings from people without giving out my birthday, I knew it was time to bolt.

I guess I am in the minority as I like Facebook....It's a good place to keep in touch with people & share good times with a few people at the same time....

To each his own....

as stated before, I am 26, one of the younger posters on the forum...

that being said, I have been fortunate enough to stay away from all of the social networks that have invaded my generations lives, and become part of most peoples everyday lives....

never had a spaceface, or a myspace account...

always was concerned about the privacy aspect.

that being said, my wife has one, and practically lives on it...along with everyone else in my family....

I am going to have her read this, and perhaps I can get her to realize that although these things are safe for the most part, I am not totally crazy for never having one. she tells me constantly I need to get with the program and get one...

I do get on hers to snoop around occaisonally, but have always liked keeping to myself...

interesting read jack, thanks...

This article is from November of last year? Google has already done this with Picassa/Google + just trying to automate things is the reason they do it along with the other reasons that they won't mention
