You're a moron Maggot. Anyone who earns $250K plus and isn't a millionaire within a few years is also a moron.

Hell, I'm a millionaire, and I only had $250K income in one year. Most years a good deal less than 250.
:mj07:

Thats because you save money by eating and drinking nightly at flowershops--take vacations by looking at pics in travel mags--have that "family tradition" thing going on--are for higher taxes-more social programs--your despise/blame on ole whitey for you failures.

Yep you got all the attributes of a millionaire :SIB

PD1 was right on target, Mags.

You defend those making $250K per year as poor over-taxed upper middle-class Americans while you taunt and ridicule $47K teachers as overpaid, spoiled and protected by their unions.

And you wonder why you have no credibility in this forum?

Trench:

Can't compare the 2, for sure.

It is easy to see if public teachers are overpaid - and FYI, it is $47K in salary and I believe almost $50K in benefits - for a 9 month job at most. Equivalent of $133K in total comp.

So what do you think private school teachers make in comparison? That will show you the true market for teacher services - a real honest to goodness competitive marketplace, not one that is inflated by Dem's giving unions a much higher salary than what the market demands. In fact, most company do HAY studies to see what market salaries are for their positions to ensure fair pay - wanna bet that the unions DON'T do that? Nope, the union model is "take the taxpayer for as much as possible".

But the $250K families, one would imagine, are not union workers (although they could be), and as such, have their market potential and income derived by true supply and demand - which, by definition, makes them "worth" what they make.

Trench, it just seems you have a hard time understanding basic economic principles of supply/demand and capitalism. Having a 3rd party (unions) set pay levels for public employees, through secret handshake deals, over and above what the free market would pay for those services can best be labelled as stealing from the taxpayers and a criminal act.

None of us go to the store and pay 50% more for goods and services that we could get right accross the street at a different retailer - why in the world is it appropriate that we do so for public labor?

So no facts? I just went searching through some right wing nut job websites and the highest amount I saw was 27K in benefits. Which means that it is really much lower than that.

Is that really a lot of money? Think about it maggot. How much do you think someone should get paid to fix your kids from all the BS you have pumped up their ass. I think most of us would agree that those teachers are most definitely underpaid. Those poor fucking kids.

On a side note, if you really think they are overpaid why don't you start teaching. I'm sure your non-biased fact-based classroom would be a hit with everyone. :mj07:

You've got to remember how little Maggot makes. Just recently he was whining about his wife not working.

So from his point of view, $47K plus bennies is a lot of money.

The median household in WI, where Maggot lives, is $49,993 plus a variable amount for bennies. let's say $15K average.

That looks like a reeaaaly big income to Maggot.

Mags, your grade school understanding of economics becomes more apparent with each of your posts. You talk of free market capitalism as if it's this benign form of economic purity that's above reproach.

You still don't get it that the severe recession we've been in for the past 3 years was created by the financial sector, and the resulting budget deficits were created by the loss of tax revenue and the financial sector bailouts. No, you actually believe what the corporate elite, the bankers and their political prostitutes are selling... that excessive social spending created the budget deficits.

I mean you actually believe the Wisconsin budget deficit was created by public teachers and their $47K salaries. No doubt the Koch Bros. and Gov. Gumby sleep well knowing you party loyalists are so willing to drop to your knees and swallow.
