Have played only a few Falcons games but have watched them all closely.
Lets see. Falcons manhandle Pittsburgh who looks like they are done. Still have a good defense though.
Then in Cinncinatti , Falcons pull out another win with TD passes from Vick and running all over the Bengals defense.
So now the Falcons play Detroit 1-7 and the line is
Atlanta Falcons -5.
Umm
OK I'll bite on this one.
Falcons would be totally embarressed to lose this game after the last two weeks of coming together like they have.
I do not see a let down from Vick. At least not in this game against this Detroit team.

This is a bad matchup for the Falcons.
Detroit is coming off a bye, at home. The only certain thing about this game is that if the spread gets up to 7, I'll be taking some points based on a few angles that would apply for a touchdown home dog.

The Lions are 1-6.
Only three teams in the NFL have a worse pass defense than the Lions.
Vick always plays well in Detroit .

The only certain thing about this game is that
the Lions suck.
The falcons should run over this team.
Too many weapons for the Falcons.
Falcons could just run the ball and win convincingly against this defense.
Really doubt the Lions can keep up the scoring
and time of possession.

Sounds like you are liking the Falcons because of what theyve done recently. Thats usually a mistake and one that the book hopes you make. Should the Falcons beat the Lions? Ofcourse but the Steelers lost to the Raiders so every week is different. If your gut tells you to go with the Falcons then thats what you should do. Best Of Luck this weekend.
KOD: Don't let your heart get in the way here. The Lions do suck, but the Falcons have to looking to take a break after playing the Giants, Steelers, and Bengals the last three weeks. Second straight road game.
I'll give you credit for taking the ML in this one, because I'm thinking laying the points is way too risky (even against the Lions).

It will be a high scoring affair. The over is a good bet. Kevin Jones is heating up as is Roy Williams and the O-line of Detroit is getting healthy. Falcons can not stop the pass. Kitna has put up huge numbers even though his record does not reflect it. Atlanta is number 1 rushing team in the NFL and Det is HORRIBLE against the run. Everything tells me this game will go over 50
This game reminds me of Thanksgiving, because the Lions are going to get stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey

This game will be a blowout for the Falcons
New Orleans is 5-2 and playing a better Tampa Bay team and I think NO has more of a chance to lose that game.
