Mama--

Knew there were more that I forgot....

Antwun Echols--middleweight contender, couldn't get past James Toney, though. Drank a beer or 3 with him one night at a party that a buddy invited me to....

Ron Hallstrom-- ex Green Bay packer from Moline

Brad Hopkins--currently with the Tenn Titans (may still be on IR) from moline also, played at U of Illinois

Anyone else you can think of, Mama?

Oh, and you do know that Nunn is looking at 30 years for conspiring to distribute cocaine, right? Federal charges, no chance of parole. Shame. Made over 10 million fighting and has to resort to dealing blow because he's broke. He never should have left the Goosen camp for Don King....

The town I lived in when I was in South Dakota was where Mike Miller of the Memphis Grizzlies was from. His sister was a starting senior on one of the HS basketball teams I covered, and his uncle was an assistant coach, so I actually got to know them very well. Talked to Mike a couple times while I was there.

Small town in Michigan. We have raised Jim Kaat, Ron Essink(lineman for Seattle in the 80's), & Steelers tight end Jay Reimersma. My brother graduated with Jay. He lived a few doors down from our house, used to play wiffle ball in our back yard. I even coached him some in little league.

ron was my ex's neighbor in moline...guess it was the fact he went to g.b. that blocked him out....LOL :)

was just at Lujack's place yesterday... (getting estimates on my dad's lincoln towncar that was vandalized while up at my place during last week) $4000.00 freaken dollars worth, needless to say, bought new security cameras while i was down in the QC's also.

Me bad. It was Bernard Hopkins that Echols couldn't beat in two fights. Saw Echols at the riverboat a month or so after the 1st fight with Hopkins and remarked to him that he was so close to getting it done, and Antwun just about jumped out of his skin giving me and a handful of others a blow by blow account of the fight. It was one of the coolest things I've seen,as the people gathered around starting saying things like, ya champ, you had him, you had him, and Antwun just thrived on the attention. Was suprised in what a nice guy Echols is after hearing some horror stories about what an a-hole Nunn is.

Sorry to hear about your dad's car, Mama. 4 grand is a bit of change, ain't it? You going to be around at X-mas? We plan on being here and then I'm heading for Orlando and the Iowa game...Go Hawks!
