I think what is sad Gary, is the fact that you are defending a felon "only" because of race! If this was a white couple it would not even make a news story! I guess we are headed for a white and black constitution ? White people are held to a higher standard because of social injustice? If my daughter was aiding and abetting a felon and were caught in the cross fires from the felon shooting at police, I would be fucking livid that she was stupid enough to put herself in that situation. JMO .......

You know me personally, Steve. Have I ever come off as some social justice warrior that is first in line to take up with black or hispanic causes?

It's okay to break the law if it's the police doing it.....I don't subscribe to that and never will. Use all the distraction talking points you like, I think this is wrong.

I do know you Gary, and I like you as a person even though we have different views and that is ok with me. You have a right to express your views as much as I do. I know I am a old dinosaur
I do realize that the whole justice system needs to be upgraded as does our constitution. One day, hopefully we will have to come together and rationalize the changes and vote for what would be relevant for current society. I get the protest, I do not condone the violence. Let's agree that we disagree...... would be a shame for political views to ruin our friendship. I will try to stay out of here, I apologize if I have offended you! :0008

This is such a sad take on the situation and it's at the heart of why people are protesting. If the police broke into your house and killed one of your family members, I wonder if you'd just chalk it up to an epic failure with no blame on the officers that used excessive/deadly force. No, you'd be fucking livid and demanding justice. Imagine if you were Breonna Taylor's father.

Oh BULL SHIT Gary and your "sad take"....

The officers on scene were doing their job as instructed, "breaking in" was procedure. One officer was shot, when someone shoots at the police the police tend to shot back.

Would I be pissed, hell yes I' would be pissed.....Pissed that someone authorized a raid when it could have potentially handled different, naturally....This isn't on the acting officers in my opinion...

Who made that decision on the raid, the officers on scene or their superiors? If this was all on the office start to finish fine, but something tells me higher up made this call and the officers followed through....

I'm hearing more today there is more to the story, should she have died for drug deals NO!

Excuse 1: Just following orders (rings a bell)
Excuse 2: Involved with drug dealer

I guess she was just collateral damage in the pursuit of justice. She'll never get justice, but hey, who cares.

"Excuse" because that's the job they signed up to do....I assume you have no issues with drugs being on the streets?

I've already stated Taylor didn't/shouldn't need to die so spare me the "collateral damage" statement....My point/opinion is the officers were doing their job, the superiors fucked up....

Why is that so hard for you to understand unless you just want to argue....
