A friend and I were discussing this on Thursday night during the first games of the Sweet 16. We did the sweet 16 bracket on ESPN and we each picked first four the games correctly and were wondering if you bet a parlay of $100 on the Moneyline on those four games how much would you have won? I know three of them were heavy favorites but Notre Dame was a underdog. Probably wouldn't pay a lot but just curious!!

Here are the money lines from scoresandodds.com

Kentucky -1300
Notre Dame +120
Arizona -925
Wisconsin -290

So $100 4 team parlay would have paid??

Thanks in advance.

JOSHNAUDI odds a tiny bit off, just sayin'

Kentucky -1300 = 1.08
Notre Dame +120 = 2.20
Arizona -925 = 1.11
Wisconsin -290 = 1.34

odds = 3.5340264 or 2.5340264-1 or +253.40264

100 dollar wager equals payout of $353.40 for a profit of $253.40

if money line is negative (favorite)=

100/ml +1 = decimal odds

if positive (dog)

ml/100 +1 = decimal odds

why don't you guys just start using metric system

WRONG...........check your math again Snafu.......I am bang on.

1.08 x 2.20 x 1.11 x 1.34 = 3.5340264

or 2.5340264-1 Horse Racing Format or +253.40264 Vegas Format or 253/100 Fractional Format

3.5340264 x 100 dollar bet equals payout of $353.40 for a profit of $253.40

3 day ban for Snafu for questioning kickserv, so not cool:nono::nono::nono:

do you mean 2.5340264 / 1 ?

/1

or

- 1

The hyphen or the dash is same thing.

Like if you saw a horse at 4/1 or 4-1

Some tracks would use a dash and some would use a hyphen, same thing. Some Sportsbooks will use a hyphen and some will use the dash.

Hell it could even say.....

4 to 1

4 to 1
or
4/1
or
4-1

All means same thing.

Although I guess if you really wanted to get technical the / can mean "divided by" in some math classes. Some calculators have the / instead of the

Yeah, but is a hyphen and a dash the same as a slash?

See post 7.

In Europe sometimes you see the / sometimes used as "divided by".

I always use a dash or the word "to" to avoid confusion.

So I can see how 4/1 and 4-1 could mean something different to two different people.

i know, but mathematically speaking - is not same as /

This is true.

If you are in math class I guess a teacher could fail you for saying 4-1, 4 to 1 and 4/1 are all the same thing.

I always use the dash or the word "to".

Lost of the Nevada Sportsbooks use the / when you look at there "Future odds"....not all of em, but most do.

:scared

Snafu ban is lifted.........the - and / are not the exact same thing when you really get down to it.

Note to self.....always use the word "to" or "-" and no confusion.
