A lot has to happen this weekend for a 2 loss team to get in the playoffs.
But I will definitely be pulling for Arizona tomorrow night.:0074

if arizona wins and tcu-fsu-osu-bay all win.....i think arizona has a great shot to get in to the top 4 (and think they deserve it)

they wont take two big 12 teams over the pac-12 champ (esp since both will have weaker overall resumes despite only having 1 loss and the pac-10 is a better conf.....10 conf games vs 8 big-12 games and 4 ooc)

and

i think the pac-12 champ as will pass the big-10 champ osu as the sos will be better for ua (2 wins over ore, who throttled msu, who lost to osy), the pac-12 is drastically better and they have a stupualtion about injuries affecting a teams possible performance in the final 4......being on a 3rd string qb isnt a good thing.

all that said....it could be irrelevant if ore beats az but mariotta has had his worst games vs az and it should be rainy, wet and cold.....here's to 2-3 more turnovers from mr heisman!

Is this the same Arizona team that HAS TWO LOSES? The same Arizona team that beat the 4-8 University of Texas at San Antonio by 3 points? Or am I missing something here? How can a 2-loss team, a team that beat a powerful UTSA by a measly field goal, be one of the 4 best teams in the country? They aren't!

Because they played in the best conf and best division in fbs and didn't get to play 4 non conf games (ie more utsa's)

If they win and about 3 teams in front of them lose, then maybe they'll get in with their 2 loses and a 3 point win over UTSA!

Curious to some of the arguments/debates the real committee is encountering every night, so maybe we can recreate it here....

Don't want this to turn into a shit show.....if anyone wants to argue or fight go to another thread

just want your opinions in a respectful manner

I am curious who your final 4 for the playoff would be if you are part of the committee?

Can update it every week and see what changes in peoples opinions....

Mine right now would be

1. BAMA vs. 4. OHIO STATE
2. FLA ST vs. 3 OREGON

FIRST 4 Out- 5. MISS ST 6. TCU 7. GEORGIA 8. MICH ST

FLA ST- is defending champs, and undefeated again this year...........SOS is what everyone knocks em for, but they have beaten more top 25 teams then the other 3 contenders in what my bracket would be......as well as MISS ST if they are to make it.....

OHIO ST- would hang and be competitive with ANY team in the nation......Barrett was a much younger freshman in terms of football years in regards to the VA tech loss. If the committee's job is to determine the best 4 football teams in the nation with how they are playing now as well as their resume from earlier in year, well OSU only has that 1 loss along with a now more experienced QB who handed MSU a whoopin on the road

BAMA- They are bama. as long as they remain a 1 loss team, there is no doubt in my mind they would be the favorite going into this thing....

OREGON- Not a big fan of this team this year.....love the program but do not think they can win the title.....however, I have to put them in based off of record/resume and the way they can score. I think MISS ST is deserving just as much if not more, but have to look outside the SEC with bama already in

I predicted the right 4 teams and ranks, but expected barrett of course...
When i posted this initially, i thought OSU deserved to be in...and i still do....think they are top tier....when you lose guys like they have, and continue to get MORE impressive, thats saying a lot IMO

But this line confuses me....i loved osu but am i missing something? Why DD?
Barret replacement very competent. Just dont think its right #. 7 would of been my guess.

As far as fla st vs oregon i initially thought fsu could win.....this one ive swayed....oregon by 20

well I would say the whole playoff system is a success year #1



Bama vs FSU would be the only game remaining if the BCS still had it's way

My gut tells me eventually this will have to go to 8 teams...sooner rather than later..the excitement with big time programs throwing all they have at each other consecutive weeks for a title is just to much to pass up as far as $$$$ for the NCAA....

first 3 starts would be a BIG 10 title, a SUGAR bowl semi final win vs BAMA and a National title Win


JT barrett coming off of a record breaking season


and the original starter in it all finally healthy again





mariotta leaving will hurt ducks immensely.....we will finally see what Halfrich has himself.....a lot of this success is with Kelly's remaining roster and schemes......should be fun to see the type of players he brings in....
