What in the hell do I need to change in my settings to speed this browser up? I have attempted to go full board switching over to Firefox, but the speed is ridiculous compared to IE7. I'm thinking there has to be a setting for this because there is no way that this browser is popular with this flaw widespread.

Any tips?

btw, it's not my computer. I am comparing the speed of Firefox to IE7 on the same machine. It's not even close.

Thanks for the help.

I made the switch begrudgingly about 6 months ago, the only thing I regret is not doing it sooner. Firefox is twice as fast for me as well.

firefox is twice as fast as IE for me.

maybe something here that might help.

HOLY SMOKES!

As far as I can tell, this more than doubled my speed!!

I am in complete awe of those changes right now.

Now this freaking browser needs to work with Salesforce.com, damnit!!! I guess I have to keep IE around for that alone. so frustrating!

Thanks, IE!

i'll use it for videos because i do have a lot of stalling watching some videos and online movies.

been using firefox side by side with IE7 for about 15 hours with around 3 windows open in each and do not notice much if any difference in speed at all. both are just like turning the channel on TV fast. i'll continue like this for a few days but i've done this before and went back to IE exclusively. i like IE and don't really like change plus it would be a pain to switch over all my bookmarks (unless they have a shortcut for moving them over- which they prob do)

I use a custom google home page to store my bookmarks. That way they are available when I travel and am not at my normal computer.
