Northwestern(+2) over Iowa (1*)
- - I've been on Iowa since before August, in a season in which there has been a concerted focus on getting in all ways stronger to finish plays, finish drives, finish games and finish seasons, and to date the season has been everything I envisioned. But even with the easiest schedule in the nation of any power conference team, I never looked at these guys as an 11-1 team, but win today, then get a bye and a home win over Maryland, and only a 10-2 season to finish would then be a real disappointment.
Northwestern does not like Iowa.
http://www.insidenu.com/2014/10/30/7130711/nu-iowa-is-the-hatred-still-there-hate I was at last year's 48-7 beat down of Iowa over Northwestern, and it was embarrassing for HC Fitz's team. It has not been forgotten . . . Iowa built a new trophy case before the season and has been focused on reclaiming the trophies from its rivalry games against Iowa State, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Nebraska. Northwestern has had a singular focus on this Iowa game, so much so it just happens to be their homecoming game, and it could be argued last week they were caught looking ahead . This Northwestern team has been responding to Fitzgerald all season, and now he also has last week's beat down to motivate them.
If looking for Iowa's biggest vulnerability this season, I would have to single out holding up against fierce pressure from the pass rush, and only C.J. Bethard's skills in the pocket have saved the day. Now they are on the road with I believe both starting OT out, and Northwestern definitely doesn't hold back from getting after the quarterback in their schemes.
Two big wins in the Big Ten have not set up a banged up Iowa team for this hornet's nest, and the electricity flowing from the Cubs on the eve of the NLCS makes it additionally likely we will see Chicago's best efforts in this homecoming spot. But I'll be REALLY happy if I donate this wager to the cause of being proven wrong.
Purdue(+23') over Wisconsin
- - Coming into this season I thought Wisconsin was looking at a rather middling 8-4 or 9-3 season under their new coach, and that's what they've been. IMO this game sets up for Purdue to give the more spirited showing and manages to stay well within this number.
Baylor(-20') over West Virginia (1*)
- - On top of everything else, I hear West Virginia is staying over a 1.5 hour bus ride from the stadium for an 11:00 a.m. kickoff, which seems like a big mistake. Sleepy doesn't get it done on this field of revenge today.
Ohio(-3)(-116) over Western Michigan (1*)

Louisville(-7)(-120) over Florida State (1*)
