2-2 would feel like a pretty good week.

Oakland(-6) over Houston (1*)
- - The elevation in Mexico City is 2000 feet higher than Denver. That fact is supportive of virtually every one of the many reasons I have for otherwise liking the Raiders in this spot.

Washington(-2')(-120) over Green Bay (1 Biscuit)
- - Wish I was seeing Green Bay getting off to a quick start, but a highly motivated Redskins team in prime time will make that difficult.

Buffalo(+3)(-131) over Cincinnati (1*)
- - I see a live dog that can carry my cash in spite of themselves.

Tennessee(+3)(-130) over Indianapolis (1*)
- - Indy is healthy and feeling good off their bye, but Tennessee is hardly coasting into this matchup off 10 straight losses to their division rival.

Atlanta(+4') over Kansas City (1*)
- - Kansas City got what they needed late last week going five full quarters against the Champs and division rivals, with first place Oakland on deck for Thursday. Asking an awful lot to now be traveling again to face an explosive dome team.

Washington(+3)(-131) over Arizona (1*)
- - I see a live dog.

Detroit(+6')(-103) over New Orleans (1*)
- - Simply put, I hope I?m way off base.

Green Bay(-6') over Houston (1 Biscuit)
- - My after-timing special, but I was liking the Packers a lot for the last couple of hours before kickoff last week, but impossible to get anything posted while I was in a massive scramble to get other stuff done in order to be with my Packer?s buddies by game time.

Pittsburgh(-6') over New York Giants (1*)
- - No way does this seem like New York is coming in and leaving as the Boss of Pittsburgh, so I?m laying the points and not looking for any teaser.

Los Angeles(+13') over New England (1*)
- - My theories on both teams says the Rams put up a good fight in this one. I think both theories have to be wrong to not like my chances at least 54%.

San Diego(-3)(-138) over Tampa Bay (1*)
- - First time in weeks I sort of like the N.F.L. card, so hoping to escape 4-3 and unscathed.

Detroit(-7)(-120) over Chicago (1*)
- -

Cleveland(+4') over Cincinnati (1*)
- - A late season bye, some energy at QB and winter weather all help the effort to get a popular coach his first win against a less driven division rival.

Seattle(-3) over Green Bay (1 Biscuit)
- - Green Bay has yet to play a game all season which would beat a good effort from Seattle. Maybe they get an assist from Seattle struggling on the road or from the weather.

Houston(+6') over Indianapolis (1*)
- -

Minnesota(-3)(-128 ) over Jacksonville (1*)
- - Minnesota finds a way to fly home a winner.

Washington(-1) over Philadelphia (1*)

Tennessee(-4) over Jacksonville (1*)
- - Last week Jax gave an all out performance that came crashing down with a coach firing, now the holidays bring an empty stadium and some scathing press. I think a versatile and well- coached Tennessee team brings the emotion to get the money and set up a season defining opportunity next week.

Chicago(+3)(-118) over Washington (1*)
- - I bet against Washington last week because I think they are a team very susceptible to underperforming when the pressure of expectations gets turned up. I see a still scrappy Bears team as a decent live dog.

Oakland(-3)(-135) over Indianapolis (1*)
- - IMO merely clinching a playoff spot is not the complacent trajectory the Raiders have been trending toward this season. Indy delivered a beat down at Minnesota last week but I think they are a suspect bunch for making a long road trip and delivering in another must win situation.

Green Bay(-6') over Minnesota (1 Biscuit)
- - I see a third straight divisional game at Detroit as the remaining test on whether Green Bay can run the table.

Cleveland(+5) over San Diego (1*)
- - Some Odds and Ends on the historic proportions of the Browns futility: "Prior to to this year's Browns, winless teams after week 9 were 50-18 ATS, 74%, since 1989. Browns are 0-6 against this trend. . . . Also, no team has ever gone more than an 0-10 ATS streak in a season. Browns are riding 0-8 . . . So, if they don't cover the next two games, they'll match the worst ATS streak of all time . . . Since 1989, only two teams have gone 3-13 ATS (2014 Titans, 2007 Ravens). Browns are currently 2-12 . . .? I let the Browns carry my cash a few times (and a few too many times) after 0-9 start, but had the good sense to steer clear the last couple weeks. I?m back on this week as they look to give themselves and their long suffering fans a moment of Christmas cheer.

New York Jets(+17) over New England (1*)
- - A division rival has something to play for here.

Merry Christmas to All!
