12-7-2 for the day. Surprisingly, 1-2-2 in games decided by less than one score ATS, as 16 of the 21 games I played were decided by more than 8 points ATS.

After two straight weeks of having almost no chance to start capping the NCAA or NFL games on Friday and then watch the games on the weekend, I've now had two straight weeks where I had plenty of time for capping and watching . . . I usually bet 7 to 12 college games a week, and don't think I've ever bet more than 16 or 17 games on a given day in 18 seasons of online wagering, but I thought I had ANGLES or INFORMATION for liking and playing a shitload of games yesterday and could survive the adventure, and it turned out well . . . I know I'll be more selective in the future.

Oklahoma State(-8) over West Virginia (1*)
- - Liking the usual number of plays this week, but nothing much early, will try this one . . . Not as sold on Okie State as I was at the beginning of the season, but they have shown grit at the end which is not the usual association. Expect a more explosive game here with West Virginia unable to match or resemble the disciplined defense of TCU and Texas, or match or resemble the stops by the Okie State defense either.

Indiana(-6') over Maryland (1*)
- - A case can be made that this Indiana defense is their best in a generation. And first year HC Tom Allen has crafted a creative and skilled offense which has moved the ball well but can?t finish in a conference campaign in which they have faced 4 of the top 20 defenses in the country . . . The damn breaks here for a fresh regime?s long sought first conference win, facing a Maryland defense that is last in the conference in total defense, pass defense and scoring defense.

Washington(-17') over UCLA (1*)
- - UCLA gives up about a million yards a game on the road, and the Bruins are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games following an ATS win . . . ?The Bruins have won the last two meetings, including a 44-30 win in Seattle in '14 . . .(now) Washington looks to bounce back from its first loss and are coming off a bye week, giving it an opportunity to get healthy and refocus. Petersen is 22-4 in his career coming off a bye.? . . . A very uncharacteristic performance two weeks ago by HC Chris Petersen?s squad adds to the recipe for a riled up outing by the hosts in a rare early start in which the Huskies might get noticed east of the Mississippi.

Iowa(-7) over Minnesota (1*)
- - Iowa has been nothing special but IMO is a pretty good team, which under HC Ferentz means they are improving in October and November. Their pass rush could certainly be consistently better, but the only real disappointment has been the depleted OL. Coming off a third conference game they should not have lost the way they did, Iowa will carry my cash in a late start at Kinnick in an intense rivalry against a new regime paying a visit off their first ever conference win.

Georgia(-13') over Florida (1*)
- - Everyone on the Georgia sideline has experienced beats by at least two touchdowns in the last three editions of this rivalry, which adds to my reading that today the tangibles and intangibles are stacked for a decisive 60 minute affair.

Penn State(+7) over Ohio State (1*)
- - - This is a heavyweight matchup and Ohio State is going to need all of their their perceived advantages to claw out this win by two scores.

North Carolina State(+7') over North Carolina (1*)
- - Last year my ?go to? team was Colorado early and often, and I am still kicking myself about how sweet of a run it would have been if I had guts enough to go against them when I had a bad feeling about their chances in the conference championship and Bowl game routs . . . This year my ?go to? team early and often has been Notre Dame, and not sure whether or not they soar after the emotional USC beat down that served notice to those not on board of their elite ambitions. Today?s opponent has also been under the radar and is off a bye in their biggest game in many years. ND lives off turnovers and miscues while NC State doesn?t play that game, with a savvy QB and physical defense that matches up against the Irish strengths. I?m behind ND to emerge with the win, but this will not be decided early against a live dog.

TCU(-7) over Iowa State (1*)
- - ISU is a good team on a great run. I?m not a believer that gets them to the final gun today against TCU with conference and national championships in the equation.

Louisiana Tech(-11') over Rice (1*)
- - Tailing on this one because Rice is garbage and I like HC Skip Holtz enough to forsake the OT loss from last week.

Syracuse(+7) over Florida State (1*)
- - For good or ill, isn't everybody?

California(-7') over Oregon State (1*)
- - Leaps off the page to me.

Virginia Tech(+3) over Miami (1*)
- -

Notre Dame(-14') over Wake Forest (1*)
- - I obviously meant Notre Dame in my post from last week. I was stupid then, because without speed in their opposing matchups, Notre Dame didn't feel challenged last week and shouldn't this week.

Vanderbilt(-12') over Western Kentucky (1*)
- - Fits a late season situation that has been good to me in the past.

Clemson(-8) over North Carolina State (1*)
- - Locked in on the road, wagering on a healthy enough QB.

Iowa(+20') over Ohio State (1*)
- - My opinion early in the week was Iowa will struggle to cover the +17' going 60 minutes against Ohio State with their speed and superior line play on both sides of the ball . . . But the following week they get a really, really, really overrated (and hopefully undefeated) rival in Wisconsin, figuring they will be a 9-12 point underdog . . . Go Hawks! . . . My opinion today is it will still be a haul to cover 20', but they can get some things done and can get some breaks unless Ohio State just keeps making plays by inches almost every time it crops up.

Oklahoma(+1') over Oklahoma State (1*)
- - I'll take Baker Mayfield and his squad as a dog here.

Northwestern(-2) over Nebraska (1*)
- - One team has a plan and expects to win a tough game.

West Virginia(-3)(-125) over Iowa State (1*)
- - Ticks a lot of boxes, but not really liking the play.

Iowa(+13) over Wisconsin (1*)
- - Wisconsin will have their hands full.
Notre Dame(-3) over Miami (1*)
- - I know which side I'm taking.

Indiana(-9') over Illinois (1*)
- - Such a good chance Indiana kicks the door down.

Michigan(-16') over Maryland (1*)
- - Michigan 2.0 has caught a second wind that is likely better than their 1.0 iteration, Maryland is depleted, this one is 60 minutes of typical effort by Harbaugh?s superior squad.

Nebraska(+2) over Minnesota (1*)
- - I see the wrong team favored.

Texas Tech(-10) over Baylor (1*)
- - At a neutral site this looks like a good situation for the better and fairly solid team in late season need of any win to catch a really young team.

South Carolina(-4') over Florida (1*)
- - South Carolina has taken care of business very nicely all season long. I can?t have Florida here.

Syracuse(-1) over Wake Forest (1*)
- - I see a damn good game with lead changes and big plays, but I?ve had Syracuse tracking for a Bowl game all season and I don?t think the goal gets gutted here today. I don't see any value, but I'll force a play and be rooting hard.
