Just another example of why it rarely works out to extend a RB. Their lifespan in the NFL is so short and there are so many capable RB's coming out of college each year. Use the franchise tag when need be to get an extra year out of someone you drafted otherwise let someone else overpay for the guy in Free Agency, use your money elsewhere.
