Sucks for Ravens.. Been bitten hard this year w/inj...

On a side note they can get a real high draft pick for a change and I have know doubt Ozzie will make the most of it .

i hate the RAVENS as a lifelong Steelers fan...But i like Flacco for some reason,he just has a coolness about him . His first couple years in league Pitt would just beat him up and he would just get back to huddle for next play .

Cool Joe dosent whine, now Harbaugh thats another story.

True, I cant say I dislike him as a player and person. I just think the Ravens over value his ability based on one very lucky playoff run and it shows with his contract. Ravens have no weapons on offense and a very poor defense. They will need many first round home runs to compete anytime soon... :0corn

I hope, that Roethlisberger is forced to throw to future hof`ers like kamar aiken, marlon brown and crockett gillmore before his career is over...it`s utterly amazing that flacco`isn`t totally crippled because of the length of time he spends holding the ball waiting for these ying yangs to gain separation....

over the last several years our stars have been a perennial bench jockey(Justin forsett) and a 36 year old wr that was cast aside by a team with basically nothing at wr and is actually doing better without him.......

Ben took his lumps when he had no offensive line. 2009 was sacked 50x and still put up 100 QBR. If your team has zero weapons for a 120 million dollar QB then who do you blame?

not the qb........we have problems up the giggy.......flacco`s not one of them...

for historical perspective, prior to flacco, the ravens were a .500 franchise...since flacco(and prior to this god forsaken year)they have a 72-40 regular season record....and are 10-5 in the playoffs(with many wins on the road)...

this franchise and newsome are living in the 20th century when a run stopping middle linebacker and jamal lewis won a super bowls...now it`s all about rule changes and offensive weapons that draw p.I. penalties..

a case of arrested development....you`re about to see just how bad this bunch is(what there is left of them) without flacco next week in Cleveland......

anybody know if the browns are starting mccown after the bye next week?

let me know when the GM drafts a quality receiver..

:bed:

what`s left of the ravens(no flacco/no forsett/no steve smith sr/no suggs/offensive line beat to hell/horific secondary) vs the browns next Monday(particularly if manziel plays) could be thee most dreadful Monday night game in history..........

I never said he was a problem, I said the Ravens overvalue him. Next year 28 mil and 2017 a 31 mil cap hit. #1 in the league. He is not a top 5 qb but will be paid like one. Kudo to him for signing while he was hot.

Now you only have to root for whomever Pittsburgh plays. So sad... :0026

he played the free agent Super Bowl reward card as well as anyone in the history of the ploy..

truth of the matter is..

he is above average at best...

:0003certainly not the first nor the last impact position player to be grossly over paid for services after the SB win.

BUT...then again every person is worth what someone else is willing to pay them..

I actually think flacco should be paid well

Not 120 million

But a lot

Hes in his what, 6th year? Never missed the post season....won a SB....bunch of AFC champ games.....and this was all to start the 1st 1/3 of his career....noone does that....even more so playing in a dominant AFC north the first few years

Ravens never had weapons and he dominated in stretches and literally ive never seen him panic

He isnt brady....but I have hard time naming 5-7qbs id rather have...especially in a clutch situation

in a league that makes it very obvious that without a good qb, you cannot win...id pay lots for him after what he has proven years 1-6.

Not many ppl give brady/bill sleepless nights....flacco i think has

Texans/fins/browns/titans/rams/washington/etc...im sure any one of them would pay for flacco and have a winner under the helm

Gags, I agree he is over paid, but not over valued....a Top QB in the NFL can never be over valued....all the "good coaches" and winning franchises have elite qbs

Ben Brady Rodgers

After that, id prolly take flacco come december over all else

Cant put a $ amount on how crucial having a guy at that position is worth

Just my opinion

to be fair, there is a disconnect between our front office spending big bucks to keep flacco and then being ridiculously frugal when supplying him with the weapons to be successful....fans in town are finally abandoning the ridiculous "in ozzie we trust" meme and are beginning to understand that you can`t draft defense for years (with minimal success) and ignore the acquisition of young offensive talent completely while bringing in castoffs to fill your most important skill positions....it might work for a year...but you lose continuity and the ability to establish a consistent offensive identity...not to mention the fact that old players break down...

but your point is well made, addict....qbs are a prime commodity and are going to be overpaid(or you aren`t going to go very far in today`s nfl)..as time goes on more and more qbs will be "overpaid" even more lavishly.... .gags still doesn`t understand that value isn`t based on fantasy statistics...value is based on wins and losses....playoff appearances and success.......he`s very bitter after last year`s playoff loss in Pittsburgh and this year`s loss to one of the worst, teams in the league(again in Pittsburgh).....

you always catch the most flak when you`re over the target;)....

the wounds are fresh...let him vent...:grins:
