I had the Red Sox last night. I also was watching the game live. I also "originally" thought that the first strike called was complete BS. After seeing it again though, it only appeared to be a ball because of how badly Miller missed his location. McCann had to completely cross his body and backhand the pitch. However, it did cross the plate. I wish it hadn't and I also wish the Sox had gotten the call and the "W", but neither of those two things happened and we are back to finding more winners on the board today.

Why shouldn't it happen? Many said video replay should never happen either. Unless there is some major ramification for bad calls this needs to be inplemented and done quickly. Put the home plate ump back there for his calls other than balls and strikes, that way there are no jobs lost.

my what a foolish statement..boys and men are needed to play the game..horrible calls on balls and strikes are an unnecessary part that can and will be eradicated by electronic strike zones..i played and umped division one baseball and can tell you that the game will only get better with accurate and consistent calls on EVERY PITCH..

whatever stike zone they agree to use it would be 100% accurately called..they use this in some minor league games now and the results are perfect!! faster game times and no more stumping by hitters or pitchers or managers...
