Kosar in closing this thread i'm going to have a little fun with your ass. You really think a man 44 years old, former baseball player, making in the 160k range having run 6 businesses, 2 kids in college with a masters degree who bets 1-3dimes a game and who you could catch on t.v. twice for wsop events really needs people i don't know to tell me good job when i know most are betting 200. game. Your education shows , but you probably WATCH allot of t.v.. I try to surround my self with some friends and allot of good guys on here, and all your looking for is something you can argue with in a thread. I'm more of a genuine friend, i still believe a guy can be telling the truth or make a honest mistake. I am on here to give what i believe are winners and you don't post plays but your on here to find losers. Find some. I'm a winner, don't stroke me.I separate myself from your kind.

It was stated about a year ago that Worm 44 admittedly posted a wrong record in his thread--Taoist (happy B-day) brought it to everyones attention-it never happened again...Why do I bring that up again---because Nolan lied about his record every week for 4 straight years!....Also the shit about a $5000 halftime bet-yeah-also his resume that he used to post is definite B.S.-Arrow your resume is pretty..impressive-congrats on the six businesses you used to run---by the way I made $160,001.23 in 2004..........no kids in college.....I never sat at any final table other than my wedding table....I played baseball in little league through high-school-I was even 2nd team all-league one year-but I liked golf and soccer better was all-league in those sports too... I think this place needs guys like Kosar-( he has gottn on me )-to put clowns like Nolan in his place.....MY opinion, have a nice night

Oh well........

Oh well........

Since when do the viewing masses need a resident police presence other than the administrators. Personally I don't care who stiffed who.......who made a mistake on their record.....who bumps their threads.....I'm a big boy and can take each members contributions for what they are worth. It's somewhat depressing (the criticism that seems incessant) from some of our posters who never step up to the plate with an idea about a game (right or wrong).
Now I appreciate a guy like Nolan because he makes me think...he brings ideas to the table about games ...about adjustments ...about patterns etc. etc.(that helps me get better) There are others who bring lots to the show....and we all know who they are...We are all better and more knowledgeable because of their presence...sadly, many have departed or are just not as regular.
Hell, why post your record or what you are doing or have done if you have to put up with the "gotcha" crew.......As far as I'm concerned, it is not written that you cannot speak of actions taken unless they are posted......do it frequently and people will take it for what its worth......no need for the constant stream of negative editorials. When he posts, Nolan has a lot to offer!
I DON'T NEED PICKS....(although I may after last Saturday) information, insight, and analysis from regional experts helps me in making MY picks. Then I live with them. Seek the higher ground guys and when you get there give my regards to "The Box" and others of his ilk.

Not to jump on anyone in particular but, ARROW , in the course of running six businesses and going to two WSOP final tables and making all that money to send not one, but TWO boys to their Masters degrees did you really never notice that the word alot only has one L???? Unless you are speaking of a certain or set number of things that will be meted out at a given time.

So in summary, to all of us uneducated neanderthal's that have nothing to look forward to, except see those of you that are so much better than us in education, income, and offspring ultimately fail.....................let the good times roll. :mj14:

Please provide me with a PO Box number to mail you a medal and a cookie.

You ran 6 business huh? So when are you going to finally settle down and make up your mind on what you want to be when you grow up?

I am on track for about a 130k year with 2 infants. Can you please (in your spare time) write me a few chapters on how to get over that 160k hump so I can consider myself successful and a part of the "in crowd"?

Damn you guys, I had UNDER 50 in the "how many posts will this thread get before it goes to the dumpster" prop.

Yes, I'm telling you about this bet after the fact, but since it's a loser I felt the need to confess.

I still have a shot to get even though on the "How many of Mansons posts are not worthless" prop, got under 2 on that one and he's still throwing a shutout!

penguinfan:

even though i posted UNDER 50 POSTS as well......

I hedged and doubled up and made 160k

Now I can join arrow in the income earning bracket of 160k+....

keep in mind i didnt post my hedge, just take my word for it.......i am still undefeated in my picks

one thing i do agree with arrow on is records....i dont look at anybody's record either, who cares...its undocumented and likely bs.....like arrow, i use these posts for information gathering, etc..and blindly follow very few plays around here (thanks gman for the mac picks!)....that said...i strongly agree with worm (or maybe kosar) in that while nolan is a good writer, anybody who has been here a while KNOWS that his analysis and picks are worng over 50% of the time...look at his picks this week...from out of nowhere he has a page of write-up that mostly play out the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what he wrote....i for one use his analysis to stay away from or add to certain games (the opposite of him of course)

fats

I think yyz just called you a dumb ass.

I remember when Arrow did the fancy footwork with his record. Then tried to backpedal with all the I can verify my plays even though I didn't post them. It was funny when the guys he named came in and tried to stand behind him knowing full well it was a bunch of crappola.

Keep up the good work kosar.

being a sports betting novice i come to this site for good info. there should be ACCURATE records posting of their won/loss and how much money they have earned. i dont know nolans record but if it isn't good, it should be alright for somemone to call him on it. i dont bet much money on the advice of others but i know people who do and i've seen them lose. when i first started at this site anthony richkis was popular and people were blindly following him. as far as the $500 bet, if its true, why isn't it ok to warn other people who might bet with someone who doesn;t pay up? i would want to know. the way i figure it, someone who has been called out has the chance to respond with their version.

NFL: 0-0 (0.00 units)
NCAA: 0-0 (0.00 units)

And I am undefeated as I haven't lost an official lightning play all year.

Since I haven't posted any official plays this year, I believe this is accurate...

Mjolnir-I agree with your post also...thats why I only post a smash play or two a week now-easy to keep track of, no problems etc--not to bring someone else's name into it but how can you keep track of a service guy like Fletcher when he post things like 15-20 plays and he posts them like "TCU big play"," Ohio small play"," Air force bigger play"-that to me is misleading and slightly deceitful doesn't take a rocket scientist to know why he does that..........

I dont know a better fade than Anthony-Nolan and Nick douglas over the last 3 years :mj07: :mj07: ----Actually I gotta say Nick was kinda ballsy to keep posting that record and do write-ups on his old personal page with titles like: "Money Managment" " How to win at the NFL" etc....when that personal page went away he was some thing like a 39 % win percentage
