I don't know about you guys but i know a lot of people thought KC over the Jets last week was a trap. Why was the line only -3 when the jets were so bad. I don't believe in traps but i do believe they know what they are doing when they make lines. like someone said before been a lot of great games this year that has already lost. I believe if you like a game bet it if you love a game bet it larger but go by your research and your handicapping.

GM...

Your right on!

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Everyone...

Best thing to do is to just cap the game and make your decision.

I don't know if I believe in traps or not, but in Week 4 I thought that MAYBE the Jets @ +3.5 against Jax was a a possible reverse trap.

The trap seemed to be that they were hoping you would take Jets @ +3.5. But I thought that maybe that could have been the trap in itself hoping that people would think it was a trap and take Jax @ -3.5.

But, besides that, I capped the game and liked the Jets @ +3.5 alot, I WAS WRONG. So... I guess I got trapped?

I don't think I got trapped though, because I would have took the Jets even if they were favored.

Eaither way, I LOST that game, obviously.

This game....

I like Jax!

Note: I don't like Jax because they were the ones that beat the Jets in Week 4, it is just a coinsidence that they are the team in my example. I think Tenn has lost momentum and confidence. Jax is on a nice high, motivated and very confident right now.

Good Luck!

Well, now that everyone agrees with me, I'm worried!
Just kidding, glad I could start a thread that piqued peoples interest. Until I see a definitive argument the other way, I still
like the Jags here, a lot.
Postscript: Just checked cnnsi and sportsline, see nothing to change my mind. Have to go iron my flak jacket now.

The reason is that their pride is on the line, and believe me they will be fired up, No way I bet it though.

you could be right magitek, I just don't fell as if it is a good play. In a rivalry like this you gotta figure home team will play well. You're right though Jax looks good. Their D played great against Philly, and Brunell should pass well against Titans D. It could be a case where it is the last favorable line you will get for the season when betting against the titans, they may really blow. Something just smells fishy about the game, stick with your bet though, what the f u c k do I know?

Hey, I respect your views! It's hard to imagine Tennessee being 1-5! It was hard to imagine Detroit beating New Orleans too..You are right, Tenn will be fired up for this game, but they are missing some very key personnel. I guarantee you Jax is taking this game VERY seriously. They won't walk into Tennessee with a cocky attitude, Coughlin won't let that happen. They know they need to kick the tacks in the MOUTH now, while they're down.
Jimmy Smith torched a HEALTHY Samari Rolle last season. The only way I'm getting screwed here is if Jax wins 21-20 or 27-26 or something. Oh boy, I just jinxed myself..hah

This is the NFL, these men are professionals, they don't win or lose games on just being fired up. This isn't high school. They come every Sunday fired up!!! At least they should. No way that Tenn can hang with Jax here.

Good luck though guys

Forgetting about the actual game in question for a minute....there's no way I can agree with these statements. Maybe "fired up" isn't quite the right phrase, but "motivated", "de-motivated", "carefree/careless" etc all happen. There are letdown and overlook situations in the NFL every weekend. I search for them and it's how I make most of my profit. The players are human beings, not robots. They get overconfident, they get embarassed, they play above their heads or go into slumps for a while, and sometimes they just give up and mail it in. And no team, no matter how good, is "up" for the entire season (or "down" for that matter). If you can figure out where a team's collective attitude is at, you can spot the upsets before they happen. Teams on the whole are so evenly matched these days, all it takes is a little ease-up on the part of the "better" team and they blow a winnable game.

People make the mistake all the time of only looking at the last game a team played and forgetting about almost everything else. So many people just love whoever won last week against whoever lost last week. Check your picks and see how many times you're picking these teams. If it's a lot, you're probably losing more than you're winning.

Eddie George is finished. He was good for a few years but still probably a little overrated. Now he just flat out can't carry the ball anymore. How many more 20 carry 50 yard performances will it take for Fisher to see it?

Bubba its starts with info in your first post. Jack perfect 4&0 ATS. There are many cappers that will just play against Jack because of that. They play a old system that says 56% of the time a team that has a run of 4 & 0 ATS going. Then is a Fav play aginst them.
No majic here. Line setter knows this. Game is looking like a Under. That is not populer side either. Many see little D being played here.

Even the super bowl teams can lose 3-4 games in a NFL season. The trouble is picking out when they will be down. Good info here GM and got to agree in the quest for a edge its important to understand emotions of a team.

Got to think that Jax takes Tenn to the cleaners. Damn we are all on JAX almost. But last week everyone was on the over in MNF game sooooo.....

I am down for JAX for 300.

Now that we got the game figured out. Do they still have to play it ?

the titans have won and covered their past three home games against the jaguars . the titans opened at the coliseum by winning 13 of their first 14 games . since then they are just 7-7 and have lost six of their last eight at home., the titans have already gave up 159 points when two year ago they gave up 191 the entire season! there special teams are weak gaving up three punts returns for touchdowns in there last three games . and there secondary is weak also, i really like what the jags have done so far and love them with revenge , i like the jags with the revenge factor. and see two team going in the opposite direction.

jags is the play all the way.

I hate to agree here, but all of you thinking on the jags easy money will be only be posting venting threads at the end of the game. Traps line doesnt exist, TCSN why dont you post KC VS Jets game? Car vs Arizona game? maybe because it didnt help you on your statement?. The principle thing here people is that Titans will cover.

I listed a few examples & if you were to pay attention to my point you would realize you bringing up Car vs Ari fits right into what I've been saying.

Everyone under the sun had Carolina & look what happened. Alot had KC as well & the Jets should have won outright as well. I never claimed it to be a 100% system as their is no such thing but in the longhaul these trap lines make the squares go broke.
