If you have been here long enough then you know there are certain elements here that: A) post false records, B) intentionally use a system of recordkeeping that is complex and would take too much time for the average Joe to figure out, C) copy and paste directly from touts plays, and D) guys and gals that copy other cappers plays from other sites and pass them off as their own. These things are not nothing new here, or at any other sports gambling web site it's just part of the game. As with everything else in our lives, at the end of the day none of this mentioned above matters if you play your own plays and dont rely on others to win you money. There should be no one bitching about others posting plays that lose since you are not being charged for their plays or this site. Jack, runs a smooth operation here, and provides alot of info for handicappers at no charge which is greatly appreciated. if you feel like bitching then go to the political forum where the vast majority of the posters in that forum are mentally deranged and you should feel right at home.

Was a viewer on this site for a couple years before I ever posted and have enjoyed it. Amused by different opinions and pettiness at times, but always respect all the hard work "cappers" have done. I do have one question at this time. Who is "across the street" site? Or is it just a generic name for all the other sites?

I would question how much the poster who I know posts false records is helping. I think he is in here to either garner momentum to go tout, or he is simply lying for the attention. I am leaning to the latter since he's been here for a little while now. Either way, helping doesn't fit into the equation.

Good points Cie,

One in particular comes to mind that fits your description. I am sure that it's just an attention thing. I crack up when I see how his hit count skyrockets in just a short period of time every so often. It's entertainment in itself.

It's kind of sad yet pretty funny at the same time that somebody would go to that extent to seek approval.

I also wish to say that I agree with the bulk of GSP's post.

At one time I said I prefered to look at the cappers that keep a solid, honest record and I still think that's the best measure of whose opinion carries the most value. I have learned to live with the fact that many do not agree and that's OK.

I just hate to see new guys come in here and lose money because they chose to follow the loudest but far from the best cappers here. I have found that the most reliable guys, year after year, are a handful of guys that keep a pretty low profile.

I have been around MadJacks for over ten years now(don't let the post count fool you) and it is by far the best overall site of its kind around.

I have been around here awhile. Long enough to see them all come and go and come back again. I do not post my picks. I don't have the time to do it myself. I know some good cappers here. Some hot cappers. Some good cappers who are cold. I depend on these guys to at least lead me in the right direction. And for the most part they do. I don't bash any capper. I just don't play a guy I don't think is any good.
Just wanted to add my two cents worth. Great site because of the cappers.

Almost 10 years I have been here I have seen many come and go--luckily some of the best ones have stayed. This is the best site for knowledgable gamblers/players.

Full Court,

I disagree with you on feeling sorry for someone new losing money by following someone. If someone is just blindly following someone without actually checking into the game themselves then I really dont feel any sympathy for them. Im really not sure whom you are referring to that has an inflated record, but I think I could guess it if you gave me two choices. In my time here there has been some crazy paople that have graced this forum, three that really stick out are Crack Rat (craziest person on the net), Gman (you talk about a guy that fudged records), and i cannot think of the guys name that turned out to be a teenage kid after posting here for awhile and bragging about his huge bets.

It doesn't really matter....any of this. If you don't do your own DD and lose, you have no one else to blame but yourself. YOU are the one that pressed the submit button. If you lose :sadwave:

Well in that perspective I suppose you are correct. Nobody and I mean nobody should ever follow blindly. Still there are many impressionable beginners that think that they have found the goose that laid the golden egg and may get taken for a rough ride. I guess it's a lesson from the school of hard knocks.

Funny that you bring him up but "Gman" and I were once friends. he was a very bright guy and a good capper in his day. He just had this wild idea that he could make a solid living being a tout. Thats about when I lost track of him but he did have a service for awhile. The last year I saw a monitoring site for him he went 51%. Where he's at now or what he's doing, I have no idea.

Totally agree about following blindly and no one should ever do it, but when a newbie sees a play and the word "outlaws" behind it, the newbie has got to think it is some kind of big special play.

This is an aspect of capping that confuses the crap out of me. One guy posts a play that some "big hitters" have played. Or someone may post that a team is being bet by 90% of the players. But what if the 90% bet $50 and the other 10% of "big hitters" bet $5,000 on the other team? Outlaws, heavy hitters, tout leftovers, and % plays can confuse the average guy like myself on a Saturday afternoon when there are so many plays.

Like many have stated, this is the best site and Jack and the mods try to take care of the crap as soon as possible. There are other quality cappers "across the street", but there seems to be a little more B.S. to sift through.
