Forbes magazine just came out with a list of Gambling Gurus where they give a rundown of "experts" from various gambling fields. There are people on the main industry boards that are very sharp and many obviously do this for a living. If you could pick one of two people from this site, who would you say are the sharpest of the sharp? No one has ever really looked over the landscape of all these boards and sites and said who are the leaders when it comes to knowing their "shit".

Obviously Jack has been around since the beginning and has tons of respect in our business. So to include this board in the article is a no-brainer.

We are in charge of the sports gambling content for About.com (owned by the NY Times and has a Nielson rank of 8th most visited site in the world). RJ (he's the Sports Gambling Guide there) is going to write a feature on gambling forums and put together our own little Forbes-type list of 7 Sports Betting Forum Gurus. The end result will be a list of industry posters chosen by their peers and why they were picked. The poster will have to let us know what forum they call home so we can properly credit (link) and reference the appropriate site. So besides getting props at About.com, the posters home board will also get a free plug on one of the largest web sites in the world.

Tons of sites have matchups, lines and crazy databases, but at the end of the day it is the posters who make the difference for any site. That is the case at my site, and that is the case here & at other leading industry sites.

This thread starts the nominations for the posters you feel should be nominated from Mad Jacks. Who is king when it comes to knowledge about this business and why? I am doing the same at other leading boards, and from the nominations at each forum will come one overall list of the 7 Sports Betting Forum Gurus .

Who from Jacks should be given their props? We will base our decision on the replies in this thread.

Both the site and poster will properly credited in the final article that will be at About.com.

Flipper hasn't posted here the whole season through, but you won't find a more solid capper. He's very good even though he's a Met's fan and is light on his feet. (I know that's redundant)

Just to be clear, it could be posters who are amazing handicappers and/or respected for their insight into the offshore gambling world.

I will be in Vegas on Monday and one of the agenda items is for us to put together the final list for the About.com article.

Raymond and Fletcher would get my secret ballot for being old school......

Nothing against this guy Fletcher but i never saw a post from him so i don't know who he is. As for Raymond? He will be no help because he is BeantownJims personal handicapper. He throws us a crumb once in a while.
