I have been in the food industry for a long time and after my first franchise thought I had retired from food but this oppertunity came along, it has been a struggle but we are now 1 year in and we have been getting busier every month.
You can shoot me an email with any questions you have from finance to franchise questions as I have been through it all.

Moe's ROCKS!!! I really do love that place. We had one a few blocks from our condo in Atlanta but when we moved to nashville I had to drive for it. Now there is one about a mile from my house that just opened about a month ago.

I was so stoked when I saw the Moe's Coming Soon sign. :142smilie

It is really good food and not expensive at all. We are the first ones in Ottawa and the second one's in Canada and I hear from people all the time how much they loved it when they were in the States and are sooo happy we opened one up here.
It is a very stable franchise and keeps growing bigger every year because it is a great alternative to burgers and other unhealthy fast food and the atmosphere with the TV's and music make it a fun place for adults and kids.

Basically, take Chipotle - strip out all of the over-franchised crap and the bland-ass food.

Then add in some original personality and killer salsas.

Then, yes, they're similar in style. :00hour

I will say that Moe's is a complete copy of Atlanta's locally owned Willie's.

I believe the story is that the founder of Moe's is an ex-Willie's employee. I have no clue whether this is true or not.

My business partners won't go to Moe's because they want to support local in Atlanta.

pwine - per chance, did you ever do any training at the Draft on Taft party? That is a party that we start 9 years ago, and Moe's is now a major sponsor. We get the food at cost and they send new crews to the event to get real hands-on catering experience. DOT was this past weekend.

To give you an idea of what Draft on Taft is all about - we went through just over 150 kegs in 5 hours! :scared

Jack - do you remember sponsoring this party several years ago?
