hold on guys, i'll be right with you ...... 98. i will not bet on conference road favorites. 99. i will not bet on conference road favorites. 100. i will not bet on conference road favorites. ok, now on with business.
3-1 last night as late addition (and conference road favorite) cal poly covers the entire game except the end. can't complain though as san diego covers by the hook curtesy of a late line move. vols play a magnificent game only to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the final seconds. oregon state as expected hangs with the wildcats all the way. overall record improves to 37-28-1, 8-2 the last ten games. for tonight:
college of charleston +3: this line was up all night at oly but i just noticed they've taken it down this morning. i would fire the guy who made this line. tarheels woes now well publicized so won't rehash them here. add the following to their plate -- practice week starts off lackluster, coach publicly complains; tuesday starting center kris lang sprains his knee in practice to go with the stomach virus he's had that's caused him to barf during the last two games; lang does't practice wednesday or thursday, but evidently he's around long enough to give his bug to brian morrison and joe everett who were heaving during practice this week; get up today and go to charlotte to play another no-name who has a better team than you; coach announces lang probably won't play tonight. i really have no idea where they came up with this line, i guess chas lost some value after a three point home loss to division ii belmont abbey (a decent team btw). however, they followed it up with a nice two point win at unc-w, a tough team on a tough home court. that's the only quality win in their 6-1 record, but they beat carolina in this game in '98 when unc still had something and they played them within four last year when heels still had forte and haywood. the more i think about it we probably won't see this line again but i'll still take the game at any line where i'm not layin'.
back later
