From 2000 to present... USC has played the toughest schedule in cfb and the top four toughest are all pac-10 teams (usc, ucla, stanford, california)

and two more pac teams in the top ten...

at least according to http://www.cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/rankings/decade_team_sched_rankings.php?period=2000-2003

Where is the SEC????

I think I just proved once again why the PAC 10 is so tough and why the PAC has not won many National Championships recently. :D

HUGE FIGHT ON FOR USC!!!!!!!!!!!

USC is the one and only team in the nation not afraid of competition. USC also wants to earn their National Championships by scheduling tough competition and playing the best.

Can you post these rankings??? I'd love to see the top 25 and the formula used to come to this conclusion. So many ways to determine strength of schedule - I'm curious what they concentrated on to get these results.

If you can post it I'd appreciate it - or let me know where I can find it.

Edit* Your link didn't pop up for me at first - thanks.

Also has USC's SOS as #1 in 70s, #2 in 80s, #1 in 90s

Also notice the pac 10 school that played the easiest schedule, still played a harder schedule than the SEC school with the toughest schedule. How sad is that?

Even more telling...

USC SOS vs. LSU for the last 45 years:

1960-69: USC: Number 9 LSU: Number 26

1970-79: USC: Number 1. LSU: Number 18

1980-89: USC: Number 2 LSU: Number 9

1990-99: USC: Number 1 LSU: Number 31

2000-2003 USC: Number 1 LSU:: Number 41

This isn't some temporary thing. For decades, eons, FOREVER, USC has scheduled and will continue to schedule the toughest teams from all across the land. It's not even open for debate. I knew I was right, but man oh man, this is more of a slam dunk than I thought. What's that you SEC homers like to say again? Oh yeah: PLAY SOMEBODY

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think we could all pitch-in some money for a hooker and get Scott laid? I think he needs it.

You REALLY need to chill out with this USC obsession. It's borderline pathetic.

All that data is great Scott, but a single no-name website's opinion of schedule ranking in NO WAY "proves" that Pac10 FB teams are better than any other conference's FB teams.

You keep playing your tough schedules and we'll keep enjoying our national titles. Fair enough for me...

Funny how I always voice my opinion and then back it up. Funny how you all voice your opinion without data, then get proved wrong, and still act like your opinion is objective facts. You all are just ignorant and upset that I have proven that the SEC is not the dominant conference you all want to believe. Sorry the truth hurts. I never said the Pac 10 is the leaps and bounds ahead of any conference. I do know that the Pac 10 is one of the toughest conferences from top to bottom. With the material I have presented here at madjacks, you all have no right to ever question how tough the Pac 10 is nor say the SEC is better without coming across being ignorant.

Hoops

Your post should be deleted, its worthless material and shows your lack of maturity. Grow up and get some class.

Scott you haven't "proved" anything! All you have done is shown us a non-credible website's opinion. Its really not that hard to find statements on websites, then twist those statements to fit your extreme west coast bias. Is this what you are attempting to pass before us as "proof"? We don't really see the need in twisting facts to fit our agenda's to prove you wrong, because we all know the truth Scott.

The formula used on that website must read something like this:

opponent's quality wins = x points
ranked conf opponents = x points
ranked OOC opponents = x points
member of Pac10 = 250 points!
all other conf. = no points!

Honestly, how could it be anything else? Do you honestly believe the top 4 toughest schedules have been in the Pac10, Scott? I don't think you believe the very garbage you post as "proof". I think you found some stupid site with zero credibility that fit your bias and couldn't resist attempting to prove us wrong! There is no way you believe that garbage. :nono:

scott you wrote....

why do you keep telling people to get some class. Have you read your posts and realized awful you sound. The only one that needs to get some class on this site is you

First of all, you need to look up the word class. 2nd thing you need to do is re-read the threads.

I never call anyone names and treat everyone with respect. I tell those who post in my threads about me getting laid or other immature comments to get class. There is no need to post that, and it has nothing to do with the thread. I do not name call and I feel I should call out ones immaturity and teach them how to debate properly and be respectful Get it? Understand?

Now you say I need class. However, you fail to say what I did wrong? Is proving my statements with facts wrong? I am sorry if I am not a sheep and believe the SEC is the best conference because everyone says so. Sorry if I offended you by proving that the SEC is not a dominant conference. I just wanted to open your eyes to reality.

Stuman

Of course it is a piece of shit, non-credible website if it does not proclaim the SEC a dominant conference. Get over it, and realize you were wrong.

Scott lets be serious here for a second. In reality all of the info such as strength of schedule, power ratings, etc regardless of who it classifies most positively is just pure opinion. The only way things can be factual in cases like these would be on the field of play. We all have our opinions on different things but they are just that opinions. We should all just call it a night & move on.

It's just like I stated before on how the SEC gets their high ratings (by playing each other who also have high ratings - win or lose, their strength of schedule is going to finish strong). Whoever thinks the Cal Bears have played a tough schedule comes to that conclusion based on the information that they've put into the program, namely by playing the #1,2,3 teams in that same program every year.

It's sad when you're team wins the national championship and you're still not happy. You remind me of my wife. :D

Where have I come across not being happy about USC winning a National Championship???? USC even won a NC in a rebuilding year. That comment made no sense. I do not really understand your CAL argument. Was it pro cal or negative?

Mr Hockey

I have to disagree with you. In my posts, there are FACTS. The win/loss % of SEC teams against BCS comptetition. The OOC scheduling by SEC teams is clearly weak. Re-read my posts and find something that is very subjective. Let me save you time, your not going to find anything too subjective.

Also, the site I linked is not biased to any team or conference. The Pac 10 plays tough OOC schedules, therefore the Pac 10 teams will have tougher schedules. Also, teams 1-10 in the Pac 10 can compete on most years. This year there was only 1 bad team in Arizona and they even pulled off an upset and couple close games. People do not realize this. Pac 10, unlike the SEC, do not schedule 3-4 gimmies every year. I laugh at everyone who thinks that site i posted is bogus. :D
