Usually don't respond to these types of posts, that being said, are there asshole cops? yes, there are....but then again, what is it that you do for a living? I'm sure I could find a few assholes there.....Yes, my father was NYPD for 38 years, put a roof over my head, fed me, got me halfway through college (I paid the rest), as far as I know, he never had a complaint against him........and I'm law enforcement also (not police officer, but law enforcement), that being said, carry on......you are entitled to your opinion.:toast:

I'm pretty sure the cop car already had the traffic blocked, since it was a dash-cam video we were seeing.

There was no need for the fire truck to be in that lane. A four lane highway coming down to two lanes is a traffic nightmare, as any of you already know.

The fire Captain is just another guy with a red light and siren who thinks he can have free will to do what he wants.

Totally disagree, a fire chief is much more equipped as a responder, that fire truck's red light much more visible than a police car especially in sun light. How many times have you seen a video where a cop car is on the side of the road lights flashing and then it gets side swiped. Then to arrest him as a top priority shows what kind of dick the officer is.

If you were in an accident who would you rather have to rescue you? The fire chief or officer Larry?

I support the shop owner that offers free lunches to an officer in uniform. My parents ran a small convenient store not in the nicest part of town for 30 years. It does help for have the local cop drop by your shop every now and then. You get my point.

I do get your point and to a certain degree I agree. I think the free lunch thing is a long standing tradition from many generations ago. I think there has been a certain "mutation" of sorts of police officers after the 60's and such. For years, mostly the 70's-80's, where police departments went largely unchecked by society and developed some bad habits. Things are different now with social media and camera phones and the old school cops will never adjust while some of the newer generation still see and hear how things used to be and some act on it, some don't. I don't disrespect them and try to obey any and all laws but there are certain areas around me that the police are just flat assholes, but yeah, there is good and bad everywhere.

I'm kidding. No maybe not every single cop, just every single one I have personally met.

I know there are good people and bad people in every profession but of all the professions, except for lawyers, this is the one that I consistently hear of dastardly shit they do all the time. Shoot innocent people, dogs, rob, steal, embezzle, cheat on their spouses, take bribes. When is the last time you heard of a graphic designer planting drugs on someone. Just saying.

On a side note, I kid around on here a lot and I am sure that if a cop saved my life, I would feel differently. Then their would be one cop I liked at least. I always thought Baretta was cool. Maybe cops should have Cockatoos in their cars instead of another cop. That would help.

I would be pissed, if the guy who is most qualified to save my life, assuming that there was no medics on site, was taken away and prevented from doing his job because a cop was on a fuckin power trip...






I think police, if doing their job correctly, are great. we have to have some sort of law enforcement or else chaos would ensue.

that being said, I tend to agree that I have met more asshole cops whom are more worried about being the tough guy then doing the right thing.




local pub we all go to, has a regular who is a city police officer. has arrested multiple buddies for public drunk for walking home. total asshole.

last weekend, he was fuckin smashed, started a fight at the bar, and then drove home. something isn't right.:shrug:
