CDC officials tell Yahoo Life that as of April 13, about 5,800 breakthrough COVID-19 infections ? meaning someone who was fully vaccinated against the virus still contracts COVID-19 ? have been reported to the CDC among the more than 66 million Americans who have been fully vaccinated. Of those, 396 required hospitalization and 74 people died.
Nearly 25 million Americans may have contracted the coronavirus, a figure 10 times higher than the number of confirmed cases, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said Thursday.
In a briefing with reporters Thursday, CDC Director Robert Redfield said surveys of blood samples taken from around the country suggest that millions of Americans may have contracted the virus either without knowing it or with only minimal symptoms.
For every one confirmed case, Redfield said, the CDC estimates that 10 more people have been infected.

My mother passed from COVID in January, my sister is in the hospital with COVID . Getting my 1st vaccine Sunday. In my area of Florida distribution was screwed up. 3 days back in Colorado? No problem :shrug:
What's the difference, they both are a virus and they both have a vaccine? A LOT more people died because of Covid too.
