I will keep cheerleading, Tony. You keep feeling enlightened. Honestly, you feel the need to distrust the government in every step that they make and feel that their always out to get the everyman.

Maybe it is bad to get the news from CNN, but it's idiotic to get your worldview from action movies made in hollywood.

OK you start. What do you need to know. I will try my best to explain things to you so you guys wont be so cynical. You are the kinda guys that when asked to say one nice thing about the country that you claim to love, you cant.

You can only talk about what you dont have.

Wasnt it John Fitzgerald Kennedy who said......ask not what you can for your friggen self all the time, ask what you can do for your country. Come on tony and heallah get with the program.

Scott King of Dogs

:lol2 Scotty, you are too damn funny man. It's pretty damn funny that you try to quote a man who virtually bought his way into presidency. Does that sound like anyone familiar to you? Starts with a G and ends with an H. "Get with the program"? If the program is righteous and just, I will be with it right now. Instead, it's got a bunch of blind followers like you and Dr. Freeze who bought the war propaganda like hot cakes.

Let me ask you this, since you and freeze suggest that Saddam's iraq is so hazardous to the whole world, we should go in there and bomb the shit out of Baghdad and murder thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of innocent children, women, men, and the elderly, right? So we can protect the whole world right? That makes a whole LOT of sense to me, doesn't it to you?

Not supporting the War against Iraq and the erosion of freedoms because the War on Terror means you are not doing what JFK asked you to do in his timeless statement? Wow, such Pretzel logic. It was Benjamin Franklin himself who said that those who give up their freedoms for safety end up getting neither. Yes, I realize I can go to college, start my own company, etc, etc, and I am happy about those things. Uh-huh, I still am not convinced that the War is justified. I am not convinced Iraq was behind 911. Has it been proven? Maybe you think so, I don't.

The sad thing is hellah, these people's views will only harden when they see ONLY the AMERICAN body bags on CNN or Fox. Then these innocent soldiers will become heroes in an unjust war, and more Joe Americas will be manipulated.

Bobby, my distrust of the government wasn't something I was born with. But YOUR trust in the government IS something that you were born with and still hold ignorantly.

As i've stated before, I love this country very much and its founding concepts. This country has more freedom than many other countries. But to all you fools, do not think that everything is peachy and blue skies out there. If you believe that US should be the world policeman then you're only aiding the terrorism. I love this country and that is why I inform myself because CNN, Fox, and the rest of the corporate media will not inform me. But shouldn't they, b/c after all, this is AMERICA right?

OH, and I forgot to mention people!!!!!! I was the one who helped Powell and created his Microsoft Power Point presentation. Give me some credit damn it!!!!!:thefinger

I put my time in....done more for this country then you`ll ever do.

by the way....back in 1987 - wasnt Saddam allies with the US...and the US gave Saddam weapons to use against the Kurds... hmmmmmm yeaa i think so :yup

Never question my patriotism heallah and I wont question yours.
You dont know me or what I have done for my country.

So you served in the military whoopee chitdog. It dont sound like you got much out of it. I hope that you were at least discharged honorably.

Yeh back in 87 maybe we did help Saddam out against the Kurds. But that was before he became a maniac and killed thousands upon thousands of his own people with chemicals and mustard gas. Are you saying that Saddam is not a evil person ? Can you really say that to me ?

What do you think about Saddam saying ....I dont have any weapons of mass destruction, but if you come to me , I will use the ones I dont have on you.

Huh ! Explain that one if your so smart.

In the past comments made by hellah10 and tony would make my blood boil and my forehead sweat, I grew up in a military family and sure it was my father who was enlisted, however, I feel like i gave up 15 years of my life as well. We did and the Army said, we moved 7 times is fifteen years - we lived out of boxes and suitcases most of the time. My dad never once let on that it was a chore to move his family around the world (every two years), he just did it, plain and simple. He was in 25 years and fought in desert storm. At any rate the point I was gonna make is this. One day I was sitting in front of the TV with dad watching the news. On comes a "lowlight" of a freak burning an American flag(like I said this stuff used to really get to me) I turned to my dad and asked him how he could stand to watch that crap, after everything our family had been through in defense of everything that flag stood for. He looked at me and said:

"I disagree with what you say, but will defend with my life your right to say it"

This is obviosly not an original quote but I thought it may be appropriate here. I think we can all agree that even with all of its flaws the USA is still the greatest place in the world to live...lets just agree to disagree on the details;)

Oh and by the way ARMY...be all you can be... :)

i dont give a shit about your patriotism. You said...clearly...

"Wasnt it John Fitzgerald Kennedy who said......ask not what you can for your friggen self all the time, ask what you can do for your country. Come on tony and heallah get with the program."

correct me if iam wrong...but that is what you typed. Iam asking you what your doing for the US. What are you doing?!?!? tell me....by the way - JFK wasnt talk about war when he said that ;)

"What do you think about Saddam saying ....I dont have any weapons of mass destruction, but if you come to me , I will use the ones I dont have on you. "

but its not secret that he has weapons..the issue is wether it is the right of the us to take them.

i mean if thats the case maybe we should disarm israel too

I never thought when I posted Gtown it would turn in to all of this. Scott to answer your question I think I'll keep Albert instead of changing to the American Flag.
