as a big reds fan, this is what they may need to get it going. i think they have enough talent to win the central this year. right now i think the brewers want to make him there real closer by years end.hes getting the work but still is not anywhere he use to be. he was solid w/the rangers but since seems like hes lost

Ok, we'll get you a tryout. But there's one catch... you have to wear these REALLY gay goggles every time you pitch. And maybe grow a nappy-ass goatee too.

I am not a sports almanac, but didnt this guy(albeit before injury) with the Dodgers close out like an astonomical amount of games IN A ROW?? Now he cant get 2 batters out in a row:mj07: :mj07: If they wanna make him there real deal closer, they better be prepared to put up 15 runs a game, and be leading by 10 because he just gets rocked everytime out

I think Gagne's suckiness is still lingering on the mound. It's like an airborne disease. Looks like Torres picked it up too.

Ballgame. How anyone can win, LONG-TERM, betting on bases is completely beyond me. You have to dodge about 10 bullets in EVERY game, just to get a win. Then you have to hope your bullpen doesn't implode, which is pretty likely.

Oh, you also have to hope your manager doesn't make stupid decisions and overanalyze the crap out of the game, which they usually do. You also have to hope there is at least ONE player on your team that can get a hit with runners in scoring position. And while you're at it, where is that guy on your team that can actually move runners over when he needs to?

On the course!
I think he'll be just fine. As long as you're happy with him saving 7 outta 10, and blowing the other 3.

Bet the dogs Glenn the extras make up for the losses you take and sooner rather then later you get a great score, example the Giants taking the series from the Cards!!

More like saving 3 outta 10....I havent seen him do anything but blow games, walk people, and throw wins away!!! But if his manager is ok with it, I will be also...they just got put on my FADE list do to not be able to close out a game!! Talk about clutch:mj07:

Somewhere in Corn Country
And what a battle of great baseball minds in this series...:jerkit:

Ned Yost will keep this Brewers team from winning anything as he is a deer in headlights when a game gets tight. And Dusty Baker? His "record"speaks for itself...

One thing I'll give Yost credit for, he actually pulled Gagne after getting bombed. Do you have any idea how many managers would have left him out there to lose the game on his own simply because he's supposed to be the "closer?" Not that Torres was much of an upgrade, but I really thought Gagne would be the guy standing on the mound when the game was over.
