interesting that you mentioned it...this is something that has also occurred to me about different movies/shows....i personally love game of thrones but i think that half the fun is the shocking way that the writers twist the plot and willingly zap some of the public`s favorite characters on the show...not the usual "hero/good guy is invulnerable and always finishes on top' tripe...as far as reweatching shows, the sopranos is the same way...i loved it to death when it was on and i was seeing it for the first time...but i can`t watch the reruns for some reason.....not interested..
some movies i really like i can watch over and over again...i might even watch them over a movie that i`ve never seen that is on at the same time(some that come to mind are dragon tattoo/the ninth gate/hombre/the original the thing with james arness/no country for old men)....even some movies that weren`t big hits like the remake of narrow margin with gene hackman and anne archer i can watch over and over again...just never get tired of seeing them...
for some reason some movies that really knocked my socks off(goodfellas/lonesome dove/platoon/appocalypse now/scarecrow with pacino and hackman) and loved every bit as much as anything i`ve seen i just need a lonng time between viewings.....
just rambling....
Lonesome Dove is the best miniseries ever IMO. It is a marvelous adaptation of the book, which is the case with GoT as well.
