Game Ratings go from 0, the worst, to 5 the best. One point is awarded for
a) pitching at least 6 innings.
Pitching under 5.67 (5 2/3) IP is an automatic zero for the game and the rest is not considered.
So a starter going 5.67 innings gets points, but can get no more than 4 for the game;
b) hits no greater than innings pitched;
c) strikeouts no fewer than 2 less than innings ( IP- K = or less than 2);
d) strikeouts at least twice the number of walks;
e) no more than two home runs given up.
after the starter meets these requirments, they must have thrown a minium of 105 pitches in their last start.(imperative)
the reason i ask....is
Jack and I are going to be busy next couple of weeks with site modifications to bestbettor and madjacks and im asking for your help to track starters game ratings since i might not be able to do it...ultimate only goal.....to win some money for our members...
ratings can be calculated overnight for starters here:
http://covers.usatoday.com/data/mlb/game/mlb_game.html
by clicking on the game matchup and then clicking on "in depth"
for starters...
