Yeah right. If i want milk and they goughed me i can drink something else. If i want a burger and they want to charge me fifty for the burger then i'll go get a pizza instead. Try that with gas. Nothing works in my car but gas.

And that is why they should not be allowed to gouge us. If these crooked oil companies show more record profits while raising their prices then they should surrender the companies and become a public utility.

:box2:

It goes further than that.

It goes back to the 70's with the deal brokered by Kisseneger with the Saudis to buy our shitty T Bills and we wouldn't drill and produce X amount of oil.

OH NO ! NOT ANOTHER CONSPIRIACY ! :mj07:

Is it a conspiracy, if it's true?

Once again. You just need to cut out a few things, and the price will drop like a stone.

NO ONE wants to take those measures. It's far easier to bitch and pay, I guess.

That is not true. They say that China is using gas. You can cut all you want and they still raise it because they know you need it.

I am a 100% straight commission medical sales rep. Driving is a necessary evil for me. Its really starting to put a dent in my checkbook. With all my driving I fill up about every other day. Already this month Im almost at the $500 mark and another 80 bucks in tolls. (yes they raised the prices of tolls too)
I must drive a lot. No other way around it.
Very Very frustrating.

Don't look for any compassion out of some of these self centered great guys here on the site.

Tough break, Gibber. I drive a ton as well, but am reimbursed by clients so the rise in gas is not that big of a deal to me. Of course, the $0.51/ mile went a much longer way a few months ago.

we`re lending brazil money(money that we borrowed from china) so THEY can drill for oil.....yet we can`t drill for our own?....THAT MEANS JOBS...that means at some point a reduction in the price of gas and a jolt to our economy...coal....and yes nuclear(just don`t build along the coast or on a known fault line)

but to drill for oil they say"it`ll take 10 yeras to see any results".....well,they`ve been saying that for the last 30 years.....we`re willing to give the brazilians our money and the time...but we`re not allowed to fend for ourselves?...

wtf is wrong with this picture?

this administartion doesn`t want to cut the budget...they want to keep on borrowing, raising the debt ceiling(there is no debt ceiling...that implies it has to stop at some point)and killing the economy....

life doesn`t work that way(unless you`re some shitheel that quit on their mortgage because some other shitheel lawyer told you you could get away with it),therefore driving the property value of their entire neighborhood down....

i honestly think they`re TRYING to tank the economy...i can`t understand why people don`t understand what`s happening....

Sarah, if the oil companies drill more here, are they all of a sudden gonna become compassionate and cut us a break? :mj07: :mj07: The same cock sukers who are gouging us now with their ten billion dollar quarters? Didn't Kansas fall for this with tort reform where the only people that made out were the health insurance companies? U Fox News watchers are priceless.

my tax dollars at work(spongy has a computer) ..

if we import less, maybe we aren`t at the mercy of opec....

if theres more product, the price will go down..

if we go full bore into producing more oil/gas/coal that means more jobs for americans...we can still continue to look for alternatives...people need work...

but at the moment...for the foreseeable future,we don`t have an alternative...it`s a pipe dream..

look at every fricking major city..and 9 times out of 10(probably 10 out of 10)it`s ruled by democratic legislatures that are tieing the hands of businesses big and small...they`ve kept african americans and other minorities dependent on sucking the gov`t tit...

how`s zat workin` out?...

well, the chickens are finally coming home to roost..big city after big city..state after state heading for bankruptcy so dems can continue paying untenable benefits to their donors in the public sector...i know...i worked for the gov`t for over 20 years....

this is what they do...they keep robbing peter to pay paul...this way they can continue to count on paul`s vote..

the more dependent people...the more illegals that are are allowed to vote....the more the productive citizenry feels the pinch...at some point, thay`re gonna run out of other people`s money...

looks like it`s happening sooner rather than later..

they`re excellent at playing the class warfare card because they know that they can count on uninformed stooges like yourself that like living off the sweat of others...

..if we provide jobs in areas like the gulf...in coal mining areas...natural gas producing areas...it`s a win-win situation....

but we`re paying brazil with borrowed money to do what we should be doing ourselves...again leveraging ourselves out to foreigners...

it`s utterly insane...
