Yep, I'm sure gay people enjoy living their lives in constant scorn, ridicule, and non-acceptance. I know I would 'choose' that if I could.

For such a 'smart' guy, you are a really ignorant, stupid person whose views on life and the world harken back to the Middle Ages. WTF do alcoholics have to do with gays? If you think your little quip has any relevance what so ever, sorry to inform you that it doesn't.

I am sure retarded people love their life too or did they or did they not have a choice in that regard?

i think i know a little more about genetics than most do here....and to have a blanket statement that being gay is genetic is ridiculous

and to say that because a lifestyle is tough proves that is genetic is ridiculous and absurd

from what i know there may be genetic tendencies but environment has a lot to do with your sexual lifestyle....and most psychiatrists will tell you that homosexuality is an abnormality which should be treated just as pedophilia, depression, schizophrenia are as well....

of course there is another sector which states that homosexuality is just another lifestyle but this sector ignores all science which we have to date...and this science is not "middle ages" or whatever and doesn't bow into political pressure....

just because something may be "politically correct" does not mean that it is soundly based or based on good science...alcholics have a tough go and certainly there disease is not purely genetics....

and just because something is not genetic, does not mean that these people do not need help or empathy.....they truely do...they need psychotherapy, cognitive therapy, and medical therapy to overcome their problem

again, if homosexuality was purely or even predominantly genetical, we would see a massive decrease in the trait/disease whatever you want to call it over time....and that is not what we are seeing

No, some folks claim that there is a gene that makes you an al-co-holic. So it IS the same arguement.

So I think you just made his arguement for him, if I understand it correctly.

no they claim it gives you alcoholic tendencies...with a greater possibility of becoming an alcoholic.....big difference..AND alchoholism is a trait which can certainly be passed down if there is a genetic component....homosexuality cannot be......leading one to believe that any genetic component of homosexuality must be very minor

we all have tendencies to become one thing or another based on our genome and environment....best thing to do is recognize this and to treat it and get these people help....

not to make blanket statements and ignore what science says

Really dr.? I'm suprised at your view on gays. So its a problem? Hmmmm. Do you know any gays that have "overcome" their problem? I don't. Anybody else? I didn't think so. I always thought gays had a chemical imbalance of some sort, and the hormones that are responsible for their sexual drive are out of whack. Yea...I'm sure a few therapy sessions will straighten those gays right out. I'm going to let my gay cousin know that his problems are over!

I'm suprised at you dr.

I agree and disagree with Freeze because I think some people are born into the wrong gender and some people make the choice to be gay. I've met women that are more masuline than me. I just hope my penis is bigger than theirs.:p

yes.....Dr. Freeze loves spewing the bull**it :)

you'll also notice that he didn't answer my question.......

so I'll ask it again:

Dr......when did you choose to be straight? Oh and well I'm at it...when did Tiger choose to be black? I love people like you who spew all this gobbleygook, but when pressed with this question can't answer it........if you say gays CHOOSE to be gay, then obviously all straight people choose that as well. If one group has a choice then the other must as well. And oh in case your wondering...I made my choice at age 15.....got a bunch of my friends together and we sat around and all chose which gender we liked. It was a fun evening....kind of like an draft.......took pictures and everything!

you do know what the word choice means don't ya.....if not you can contact some of those "psychiatrists" and they can fill you in on what the word choice means..........

Freeze, this is just plain wrong....as a medical professional it is embarrassing to the profession that you would make a statement like this.

I don't care what some of you "so-called enlightened people" say about gays raising kids. The ridicule and problems the kids WILL HAVE because of their parents lifestyle outweighs the need for gay adults to raise kids. How could someone who may want to love and care for a child put them through all the emotional and physical problems they will have? I imagine they themselves went through all the problems of so called growing up gay. Why would they want to put soemone through the same hardships they went through?

The big myth about people being born gay is ridiculus. I worked with a lesbian at the car plant. She would spew all this stuff about knowing she was gay from a small age and yada yada for about the first 5 years we worked together. Well 10 years later she is married to a MAN and has 3 kids. My highschool basketball oldest son came out of the closet when he was in highschool. He went to a local college and got a degree and decided to move out to New York City where his lifestyle would be more accepted. Last year I was at my coaches last game before retiring and was told that his son was working for some modeling agency as a goffer and met a model about 2 years ago. Then now live together and have a kid. So this crap about gays being born gay is hogwash. It is a LIFESTYLE plain and simple...

Just as they choose to have that lifestyle I have mine where I don't want to be around them or have my kids around them. And before Kosar, Hoops, or Kickserve come in with all their PC and BS we have black neighbors and our kids have sleep overs and my wife is half mexican----so I am not prejudice except when it comes to a LIFESTYLE.....

well JC .....I respect your opinion....although I totally disagree with you, at least you don't go off on racist banter like others do. As I said I totally disagree with you, but at least you have the decency to argue your point without being as closed minded and homophobic like the others.

Why is it that these types of rants always seem to include this:

while the so-called 'PC' crowd seems to be more comfortable with their thoughts and don't have to resort to announcing just how 'non-prejudiced' they are.
