It comes along from time to time, but Jack is right........you can't win this "war".

It is nice to see some decent debate, but it always falls to the level of name calling and such. The same guys with the same old hat.

nope, never happen. learned a LONG time ago that it isn't worth the time or effort.

we have to get together to beat the man at madjacks, not bash each other over politics and religion.

3 moderators are in training but don't have authority to lock threads, close threads and ban people yet. only 2 have those abilities.

I'd just like to see a little more consistency. I occasionally see other members, Senior Members even, berating, insulting, and cursing other members in other threads, yet those threads don't get a Master Lock thrown on them.

What's the whole point of reading a message forum anyways? to read other points of view. Your message forum comes equipped with an 'Ignore' feature, and last time I checked no one was forced to read all or any threads.

Are you unreasonable? Certainly not- it's your forum. But by limiting one's abilitiy to read others' points of views, regardless of the topic's flashpoint, is plain-old censorship.

A few ago I too was stranded in a hotel room, downed a bottle of Canadian Club. Was out for almost the whole next day. Missed a business meeting & my flight home. Those were the days(LOL)!

Don't know what I will talk about now that you have closed the threads about politics, but FWIW, I agree that these type of debates tend to go downhill fast.

My thought was that such discussions, politics, religion, add spice to this board. I like hearing other views, berating them humorously, having mine berated etc. Never thought the goal was to win anybody over.

Well I for one was haveing to much fun and apologize. However I did not call anyone names. I agree with MJ that is not a good idea. Opposite points of view either on games or general topic are always going to have debate. Its a tough time for our country right now and there is passion felt in many ways. I to have seen some explosions where guys smoke someone and its left to simmer to long. Those I agree should not only be closed just wiped off the board. Now where were we on the price of gas.
