I was watching Larry King the other night when he had George and Laura Bush on as his guests.

I was just looking at him thinking about how he launched this war where hundreds of thousands of people are now dead. I was thinking of these dead children, kids without arms and legs, American soldiers, dead and wounded, while he and Laura were yucking it up with the old jewish guy. While he was doing this, I was thinking about how this war in Iraq was really keeping us safe and what it really was about. I don't think anyone has ever given a concrete answer to that question other than a Viet Nam like "stop the spead of communism" type answer. (replace the word communism with terrorism)

I was watching him tell me how there are people out there who want to kill us and how he took credit for keeping us safe. still using fear as a tactic with only 5 days left to his presidency. The other side to that argument was, I was thinking about how many young terrorists he has created and empowered whose names we currently do not know, but will find out in the future due to George Bush's war, the purpose of which has still not been explained.

Well said Eddie.

You forgot to mention over under on how many threads it would take for party of hate to try to get their opinions in--I got 4 in a row right now--with some having to start 2--

We've had debates on stats on inflation-unemployment -charitable giving etc of past administrations -last few weeks--and since you couldn't come up with any statistical rebuttals- I'm laying 2/1 your historical calculator has all O's (opinion) on it.
:)

I did start two, although it has nothing to do with hate. I think it appropriate to view and measure the outgoing presidential regime, and person in question, as we move forward. I understand why you would not want to, but that's old news.

I've discussed inflation, unemployment, charitable giving with you at length here many times. I've posted many things and assessments of info I've found, and many times you ignore it because of the source. It's convenient, and yet you doggedly try to force people to narrowly discuss your points and statistics - to the point of mentioning that others are somehow less intelligent than you gave them credit for being, etc. It simply always depends on the point being made, when, and why. You mention Clinton in nearly any thread dealing with, well, anything. And now we should all just forget about Bush. I certainly wish I could, by the way, but we'll be dealing with his deeds for a long time, I fear.

Again, I think I asked what was mistaken or incorrect in the posts I made. Heard nothing other than complaining about the source and you deciding not to read them. And then you ridicule the fact that I posted them.

Let's see, in the true spirit of gaining Smurph's respect, and you possibly naming me to some kind of post here...um...

Whatever.

For the record Chad--IMO you would be among the top of those here that present a well thought out position for your political leans . Your positions are generally well researched and laid out in logical fashion--and I always enjoy your posts and respect your position.
I did think the St Clair repost was totally out of character for you--and IMO you are much better writer than him. He/his site are basically radical views-based on opinion.

I would much rather read your views on a topic -than all of his writers on Counterpunch.
