Houston Astros +165;)

Bet $400.00 To Win $660.00

Have many #'s to back the 'Stros tomorrow against the Cubs. Already placed my wager @ +165 cause this line will drop like a rock before the first pitch @ 1:20pmCDT. :yup Well it's a little late & I'm a little :00x26 but will post my reasons to support this play in the am.

Guess the pressure is on Old Double Two to come through!!! :D Posted this play late last night when my thoughts were a little fuzzy. :drinky: After a good night's sleep & some time to clear my head I realize one thing...I Like the 'Stros Even More!!! :yup

In this "Battle of Cellar Dwellers" Houston comes in having won 6 of 8 after yesterday's dramatic "Walk-Off" by Carlos Pena. I like this young Astros squad & although they are not very good seem too play the game hard with a nothing too lose attitude. Chicago is coming off an emotional series with their longtime rival St. Louis where they lost 3 of 4. Expect the Cubs to be a little flat today even though they are playing in the "Friendly Confines". The home field has NOT been very "Friendly" in the month of June however as the Cubs are just 2-7 in their last 9 games @ Wrigley. Astros should show up to the Ball Park today with a little more "Pep in Their Step" as they are playing better baseball right now.

Today's starters, Dallas Keuchel & Matt Garza, will be tested with the wind blowing out @ 10-15mph but I like Keuchel in this spot. He has pitched well lately going 3-1 with a 2.13ERA in his last 4 starts. Houston is 6-3 in his starts this year & 6-1 in his last 7. Pretty good #'s considering the Astros overall record so far this season(28-46). Garza did pitch well in his last start against the Mets but before that he was "Hammered" by the Reds @ Wrigley back on June 11. In that game he gave up 9 earned runs on 9 hits in 5 innings with 3 homers(Remember the wind is blowing out today). Have to question his "Mind Set" after that game & after his last start when he pitched well enough to win only to have the Cubs Bullpen let him down. Speaking of Bullpens, which will definitely come into play today, the Astros relievers have been solid lately so I will give them a slight edge there as well.

The line, which I thought would steadily drop, has stayed about the same as of 2 hours before the first pitch and is the "Main" reason I give Houston a really good shot to win this one. The Chicago Cubs should NOT be -175 against anybody!!!

Best of Luck MadJackers & Go 'Stros!!!:0008

Factoring in the wind & Garza's lastest outing @ Wrigley one would have to think the 'Stros score more than 4 runs in this contest!!! :yup Hope that record stands @ 3-36 after today!!!:mj09:

Good Luck 2 Us IE!!!:0074

Here?s the Cubs lineup, and note that Dioner Navarro is behind the plate for Matt Garza. Dale Sveum said the reason is because Welington Castillo had caught four days in a row, and it was a tough turnaround to play a day game after a night game.

Barney 2B
Ransom 3B
Soriano LF
Rizzo 1B
Castro SS
Navarro C
Hairston RF
Sweeney CF
Garza P

Radar suggests there will be a delay to the start of this game. Don't have any #'s on how it will affect either team but my "Gut" tells me it favors the Astros!!!:00x30 ;)

Not looking good fellows as Garza is just too tough today. Maybe he will get pulled for some reason & the Houston Nine will get to hit against the "Suspect" Chicago Bullpen. Still holding out hope for a 'Stros comeback!!!!

Come On Houston Astros!!!:firing:
