Glenn Beck Speculation Continues As Departure Rumors Swirl
Speculation is swirling over the possible exit of Fox News firebrand Glenn Beck. After the network announced it would consider going on without Beck's eponymous talk show, everyone from blatant anti-Fox bloggers to Fox's own Bill O'Reilly have been speculating as to the future of the Beck-ster.
On March 6, a New York Times report announced that anonymous Fox News officials were "looking at the end of his contract in December and contemplating life without Mr. Beck." The report stated that, since last August, when he summoned more than 100,000 followers to the Washington mall for the Restoring Honor rally, Mr. Beck has lost over a third of his audience on Fox. The report went on to suggest that Beck may be interested in starting his own media network.
The speculation continued Tuesday, as radio personality Don Imus took to the airwaves to ask questions of Beck's future with Fox. And he went to one of Fox's leading personalities, Bill O'Reilly, for answers.
