Not sure?

Do you mean fuel economy standards, fuel efficiency standards or corporate fuel economy standards?

I mean all you car about when you buy a car is your gas mileage on that car. Not what the government dictates to manufactures their average mpg should be for their entire line of vehicles.

On the course!
Do fuel standards factor in to your decision when you buy a car:confused:

No. But lead paint standards never factored into the decision for people buying shit 70 years ago, either.

Farmers using re-claimed water on their lettuce crops probably never was a consideration for people at the store, either.but,we're getting there.

Of course everybody wants safe food, and consumer products.
The fuel standards have nothing to do with safety.
Reason for GM closings is they make a shit product nobody wants. I hate the fact they are closing, one of the plants is near me and it sucks.
Of the 20 top selling vehicles in the United States; eleven have a Toyota, Nissan, or Honda emblem stamped on the grill. That leaves Ford, Chevy, Dodge, and Jeep to divvy up the balance. Has Chevrolet in the past 30 years built a passenger car able to compete with the Camry, Corolla, Accord, or Civic? Hell, no! :0008

Truth.

As soon as dumb ass rednecks (is there any other kind?) stop over paying for penis extensions with "Super Duty" stamped on the front (in plastic) Ford will be out of business as well.

Ford makes a shitty product just like Chevy, but Ford at least knows who to market to, I'll give them that. They somehow get guys paying 2X their trailer payment for 96 months to buy a vehicle they can't maneuver around Walmart's parking lot. It's amazing. Ford wins the marketing battle.

In your opinion, is there an American vehicle worth owning?
If so, what would be your choice? Why?

My vehicle was damaged in a parking lot.
Insurance appraiser arrives to assess the damage.
I asked, "What is your vehicle of choice?"
He said, "Honda or Toyota."
I said, "Is that your personal vehicle?"
He said, "No. I drive a Ford Escape.
I wanted a Honda Pilot, but my wife wanted American, so I bought a Ford."

I have three cars in the driveway, all of them are Jeeps. Two Cherokees and one Wrangler. Safety and traction are the reason. Chrysler can't built a transmission worth a shit, but I'll take the good with the bad in this case.
