HULK - REVIEW .......Here is another one.
" Expository dialogue is crammed awkwardly into scenes. Villains suddenly appear without introduction, and dramatic events happen offscreen. Most crucially, the movie is simply too long, and -- most disastrously -- a full third of it goes by before the Hulk finally appears.
When he does stomp on, the movie picks up, yet the movie never progresses beyond Bruce-is-betrayed, Bruce-gets-mad, Bruce-turns-Hulk, Hulk-breaks-things. When things are that schematically presented, it's impossible to become emotionally involved. What is there to identify with in someone who succumbs to dark and overpowering rages? What is there to cheer in the spectacle of a brute blindly smashing everything to rubble, and destroying anyone who attempts to stop him?
This green-eyed monster may be the perfect symbol of an angry time. But he's an impossible hero to cheer. "
