Gonna start posting again this season since it looks like I'm off to a good start. As usual, no plays for week one like I skip every yr. Last year, I changed my ways and 90% of the plays were teasers with PLENTY OF POINTS instead of reg. line plays that resulted with AGGRAVATING losses way too often and making that change resulted in the "bestist" season I ever had after plenty of seasons grinding it out with small line or parlay plays. Stopped posting cause I think the viewers are not interested in teasers - ESP. with plenty of extra pts.

How cum I'm posting again? Well, I'm noticing that a majority of the plays cover with "normal" line plays and didn't need the tease. You know, just what Mad Jackers are looking for. Asfaras handicapping goes - I do a lot of figuring like always but also relying more heavily on teams that I watched like Mich. frinstance - I equate them to Tenn. That is, year after year they get plenty of blah, blah, blah.. preseason accolades from the "Pro cappers" and thems get on the field and stink up the place.

Here's how I'll postem, teaser amount differ on each ticket so I'll just post the teams and assume that each play is a reg. line play. I just copy and paste what I got from my report without the tease amounts. Note that the last 2-teamer below is a regular 2 team parlay except I bought a few pts. for State. BTW, I had a small MONEY line on Army to pull off a major upset and "there we go again" ... . . looked mighty good for 90% of the game and got nailed at the finish line. What else is new? Sorry, a few of the games started already but most haven't.

Week 2 wrap up

Week 2 wrap up

Yesterday, my attempt to make SURE I get this week's plicks out BEFORE the dang games start ended like NObody would believe. What a nightmare.... the username/password that I've used for 5+(?) years kept "telling" me they're invalid. I spent a long, long time trying to figure it out; checked and re-checked 5 times to get through and got the email from MJ's that "someone was trying to get into my account". I replied, "that someone was ME) :(

The saga continued till this morning and an MJ Admin. fixed it for me real quick-like via emails.

Ok, now the Week 2 wrap up:

I posted 5 different teams and it looks like only 2 covered a reg. line spread. That ain't good, but I think one of the other 3 team's came real close to doing so depending on what line you got on their game maybe it could have worked out.

For me? Well, EVERY play I posted was a WEINER and I cashed all tickets. Wish I would have posted ARMY with a star or bold format cause I really liked that plick even at the regular line bet. Wished even more that I shoulda played it as a reg. single line bet on the side. Like I wrote, for me... them there BIG teasers with plenty of fat (pts) in each team worked out like last season.

Not as confident this week as last and so far I can only come up with one teaser ticket AND it's the college games that I'm not too confident with. It's the first time this happened -> my most confidence is in a NFL plick this week. I do watch the NFLers but rarely bet on any.

Remember, I'm adding plenty of pork (pts.) on each of these plicks.

Ohio St -17 1/2 vs Indiana
Va. Tech -22 1/2 vs. Furmen
NFLer -> Balt. -13 vs. Zona.

For next week, I'll start a new thread.

Sorry, that's all I got and I'll have to put down more units than Id' like to on this 3 teamer. Good luck this weekend.

Some pork bellies on the floor today

Some pork bellies on the floor today

Ohio St. clicked BIG TIME tease or don't tease.
Va. tech did not. :(

Believe me, I put in hours and hours overnight trying to get in here with username/pass that worked for hundreds (thousand ?) of times to get the plays posted with plenty of time before they started. Around 6 am an MJ Admin. got an email through to me and the new password he created worked. To make matters worse something came up today that I had to do before this and now I'm down to only two teams that are worthy of posting left Baltimore (NFL) and Florida.
One ticket is dead and here's what I got left:

Pending 3 Team Teaser (ties lose) Teaser tl 10?fb & 7?bgk
Pending 9/14/19 4:00pm College Football 153 Iowa +9 * vs Iowa State
Pending 9/14/19 4:00pm College Football 159 Arizona State/Michigan State Under 52?t *
Pending 9/15/19 1:00pm NFL Football 268 Baltimore Ravens -3? * vs Arizona Cardinals

Pending 3 Team Parlay
Win 9/9/19 10:15pm NFL Football 482 Oakland Raiders 2nd Half Over 9? -125* vs Denver Broncos
Pending 9/14/19 4:00pm College Football 160 Michigan State -525* vs Arizona State
Pending 9/14/19 7:00pm College Football 175 Florida -325* vs Kentucky

Right now I see Mich St. game is looking good, don't know about the Iowas. Let's see if they can cover a reg. line play.

Just gotta post this

Just gotta post this

See that Arizona player jump over his linemen, which should have been a 15 yd. penalty, when Coglin, was attempting a game tying FG AFTER MAKING A SUCCESSFUL ONE seconds before it was erased due to a penalty. Did they ever get screwed just like I did. Just served me a reminder of the torture tests I went through for quite a few years between 2000-2017 before I got on the teaser bandwagon. Note that was the only non-teaser ticket I had.

I'm up to my ears in pork bellies with that ridiculous Under result in that game. :s1:

Game plan is to get here on FRI. provided it doesn't start off like yesterday; the more data we get as the weeks go by the better.

FG that came down due to a penalty. FLUCK.... N

Wrap up this thread

Wrap up this thread

I'll open a new for one this upcoming week.

Not much interest in these teaser plays here and it would help me keep up and ensure I get the weekend's plays here on Friday if I just post every team I'm using for the teasers without any copy and pasting my sportsbook report like I've been doing.

The objection is to see how many beat the reg. line spread. I'll post each team and assume the play is on whatever the line is for their game. I think it hasn't hit 50% so far but, based on how it behaved since I switched to playing (90% of the plays?) last season,it should improve as the season continues.

Wrap up is...
That last ticket had the NFLer on it, Balt., and in keeping what I wrote about my confidence for this past week's plays - quote ->"Strange that I was most confident with the NFLer play than the college plays", that ticket was for more units than the others and it really helped the cause. BTW Balt. did not cover it's regular line.

Two ASS BURNERS didn't help at all:
Mich
and
right now I don't recall which team it was but thems were, teaser line I got was +32 and they lost by... whatdoyaknow ->32! I always go with "ties lose". Ticket woulda cashed at 31.

G.L. viewers.

You do know that teasers are for suckers and those who have absolutely no faith in their abilities to pick winners, right. Did anyone else in here ever tell you that teasers give the book a huge edge?

Thanks for stopping in, guys

Thanks for stopping in, guys

Thanks for the advice, Junk. The ans. to your question in no. That's probably cause usually nobody comes in here to to give me advice. :(

I've been betting on sports for way, way longer than you can imagine. Started betting football for the last 20 or so yrs. and 20 (actually more) or so years before that it was almost exclusively on horse racing which I enjoyed every minute of and still do. When I started doing football I followed the way the "Pros." do; that is regular single line bets. 2 or 3(max.) team parlays, and a little heavier on a game that I really felt good about from time to time. Just like 85 or 90% of our gamer's, I took the :banghead: route to make my fortune. You know, like looking for a way toward BEATING THE GUYS (line makers) who are prob. smarter than us, have better tools and resources than us, and may even have some inside info. to boot. I had several winning season's but gotta admit the bottom line wasn't so hot. Forget the fortune.

I got tired of so many near misses over the years and used a bit of ingenuity. That is, I came up with a better idea :00x33 before last season's COLLEGE football started -> the anti-near-miss antidote ->TEASERS and they accounted for about 90% of the plays I made last year.

GOOD BYE, many of the near-misses.

HELLO. Suckersville. Yeah, I'm a sucker alright - during the last 2 weeks of last year's season I SUCKED out of my online bookieman very close to FIVEfold the bankroll I started the season with and made no deposits during that season. Had to make 2 withdrawals cause $500 was the max. for Moneygram withdrawals (2nd withdrawal was less than $500).

So far, I'm "off and running" just fine this season. Check out what I've posted so far. Confident of my ability this season?... .. YOU BETCHA! That's why I started posting again cause I wouldn't be posting if I wasn't.

Here's some advice from somebody with more experience for ya:
1. Determine what sports you have done best with in the past. For me it's tennis even though I do take some years off from playing tennis matches (it's expensive) and it looks like I'll be adding COLLEGE FB, not Pro., based on last year's results. No betting sports over the summer, "baiesball" is a No,NO. FOR ME.

2. Important - Use your brain not your ego, it ain't about beating ANYbody (the bookieman). IT is about finding a way to make moola by sharpening your money management, handicapping skills, and the way you bet THAT WORKS BEST FOR U - singles, parlays (arranging these is really important), TEASERS (Yum, yum).

3. If you're just looking for entertainment play the games on TV. If you're looking to beef up yer bankaroo.. forget if the game is on TV or not.

4. DO watch the games as much as you can.

Lastly; I ain't saying that Teasers are automatic like just throwing darts for the plicks. You have to come up with the right teams AND sometimes the difficult part for me is to decide HOW to betem.. side or Over/under. Teasers require betting more on each ticket too.

I guess it's mostly about what works for you in order to git dat cash!

Oooops, I almost forgots, I do like to respond to the few visitors I get.
Betone, "Hammer?" . :mj03:
ah, I don't get it? Yes, I am lightly hammering the bookies so far, but it's too early to tell if it's working yet.

Good luck.

Hey, Jimboski, thanks for your posts! Just saw them, and YES, I have been betting a long time and have found great value in the right teasers with the right teams at the right lines. Mostly 3 team, 10 points. And yes, like you I have found it one of my most profitable strategies.

For example, this week I teased Cleveland NFL (+3?) and didn't need the tease, but it is with Georgia (-4) and Dallas NFL (-11) vs you-know-who. This is merely an example. Just saying that you have be be judicious in your choices, as with anything else in life.

POINT IS...I understand and would love to see what you are doing. Please post your single line teams or whatever you wish, but I would love to see what and for how much you are teasing. :SIB

Good luck on your plays this year, and don't assume that all the bettors in here are clueless about your strategies. :toast:

Great to see some interest

Great to see some interest

Thanks for your interest in what I post, yanno.

The whole purpose of my posts is to share with the MAJORITY of MJers something that may be of value to them. We know what the huge majority of them look to only beat the posted lines for the games. I keep records and found that the majority of teams I played last season didn't need those tease pts. More than 50% didn't need the extra pts. but not much more than 50.

I don't have much time to get the posts done and I gotta keep my computer time short so I've often ran out of time and posted them AFTER the games started, without me even realizing it :s2: . That's a bit embarrassing. There's no way I have the time it takes to assess the best tease (pts.) for each team and I still wouldn't have that much confidence in the no. I would come up with. To accomplish the objection of my posts and IMO make it more interesting - I'll just post the teams I use in my teaser parlays and let's see how many woulda covered the reg. line cause that's what my posts are all about. It'll also serve as a database in here that I would be interested in.

I'll share with you how I do what I do - I just make sets (parlays) of 3 or 4 teams and usually use 10 +/- 1/2 depending on where the no. falls. BTW, I think Dimes offers 15 pt. teasers, WOW! No thanks, the math DOES prove that those monsters gives the house way too much of an edge. I will sometimes use 7 +/- 1/2 on the 4 teamers cause I'm confident about having a shot of hitting it based on how I did last yr. One more thing - IF I find a team that I'm extremely confident about I'll make a single line or M.L. play on it with enough to cover the cost of the teaser tickets I bought. There's generally only 1 team that I find like that per 3 weeks of play. Found one so far, Army, and guess what... I didn't get the mutha jumper in on time. :bed: SHEEET!

G.L. yanno, if you post your plays I'll look forya.
