Well I would like to say a Big goodbye to all at this forum and a special thanks to Jack and I.E. and all others who have made this a 2nd home to some or most of us.
At 11:00am This morning I recieved a call from the good ole U.S. Army in St.louis that I have been deployed for Opertaion Iraqi Freedom. My activation was on August 2nd but I had not recieved anything from them until todays call. I am scheduled to leave on Sept 12 for Abeerdeen Maryland, but am trying to get an extension till Sept 24th in order to handle banking and finance procedures. And all other matters, Also to try and get over the shock of being reactivated. But regardless I am going.
I wanted to thank each and every member for the years of friendship and gambling discussions we have had in the past and present. I have enjoyed all of it, whether it was argumentive or constructive.
I was hoping to attend the Super Bowl party this year but as you can see that was shot to hell. I was also hoping to develop a closer friendship with Jack since he is moving to Indiana this year and will be right down the road from me. But I guess that will have to wait upon my return. And I will return.
I has been a sad day here at the homefront, for not only me but my family. I live alone and have 2 children they live with thier mother and they are not dealing with it so well. But all I can do is smile regardless of my opinion of the situation. I will not get into a political debate of wheter it is right or wrong. But I have been called to duty and I will serve regardless of whether i agree or disagree, the same as my forefathers have, to preserve the freedom we Americans have as a whole.
To everyone I wish you well and I will be back within the next 580 + days my orders are for. I will still be around upon my departure. But tonight I am going to the bar too have a few and find someone to bang my brains out feeling sorry for me. lol. Trust me it will work. Love the ole sympathy puddy.
Good luck to all!!!!!!!!!
PS. I am taking my madjack tshirt with me and will try to get me some pictures with an iraqi wearing it lol..
Bye for now.
