'Got a basketball hunch

I was going to add this to the "story" thread but that post was a hassle for visitors to go through and I didn't want it to jump to the top of the list again.

As soon as I saw the Hawaii /Illi. game I thought - Illi. fosho. clanged my mind real quick like when I saw the line, expected something around 9 or 10. I went one step beyond a hunch and checked the SOS FOR EACH TEAM AND changed the play to UNDER whatever the no. is after I add a footballer or 2.

These basketball hunches have been working better than I could ever imagine.

Check out the Wake/Duke game this week. I am using Wake in teasers and parlays. Unless Duke can do a 180 they are done for the year. Wake?s best player is injured or this would be a 35-10 type game. Still think Duke?s anemic offense cannot score enough to win.
Anything is possible but my money is on Wake.

lowell, I'll be getting busy after this Thurs. cause my partner (the "ski" in Jimboski) will be in the hospital for a few days so I'll put the Wake game into the analyzer for ya.

That hunch, which shoulda been called a CINCH instead?
It prob. won't continue what it's doing cause hunch = just a tiny bit more than :00011. I don't have the exact nos. but I believe the hunch BBers are 8 and 2 or 3; just unreal. I will be using them more for REAL plays over paper plays. BUT 8/2 or 3 was in the REAL plays I used. Just unREAL is the word for that. I think adding them to a small ($ and no. of teams) to TEASERS and maybe parlays is the way to try cause magic is usually short-lived. They certainly are doing better than my NFLers as "parlay stuffers" go.

Here's something I will share with you that IMO helps -
Give a little credit to games where the DOGs are getting a reasonable no. of points AND the O/U no. is lower than you think it should be. I use that as part of doing the footsbawlers and I think it may work even better with the hunch play while the season is still young.

We make a good team ourselves cause there ain't enough room in my brain for knowing the players, formations/styles, and trends for individual teams. I wish there was. I know enough about handling the statistics, factors, and technical thingies and that part is the grueling process for figuring the dang thangs out.

I hope you scored with that UNDER play; I didn't .... . YET (gotta be optimistic about these thangs). Here's what's needed to make it happen along with the Under score :

I may have replied to you note in the wrong place. Whatever the case - all I wrote was is that I would check this game out.

I addressed the Dukes in their last game and my no. cruncher results was they were a cinch. What a cinch they were, thems got destroyed by Syracuse of all teams. The resulting stats I get is a huge factor when I cap a game and if it's result is out of touch with either of the teams playing.. I steer clear of that team for the rest of the season.

I looked it over even though there's no now way I'd touch this game; looks like both of them gave up on this season. Losing Surratt should have some effect with Wake. If Push came to shove - maybe 52 pts. is too much for these two teams.

Don't let me take you off a winner though and good luck however you play this one.

After our last exchange, I thought I'd try another BB if it's on TV and make it a single "Pro" style bet as in a reg. line, single play. That breaks my rule of NEVAH play a game just because it's on TV unless you bet for entertainment and not moola..

But, I just hadda try out another BB game.

I found one that had a SEC team at home vs. a team I never heard of in a conference I didn't even know it existed. I didn't just rely on a hunch this time and checked out each one's last 3 games. Went one step further and hoped it would lead me to pick the Sec team (Arkansas) and it SURE did. That step was just to check out their DEFENSE and it was better than great. Instead of making a line bet that was too high for me I'm loving the tt (Team total) and went with that and just felt REALLY confident about that. It turned out to be another EZ weiner.

I didn't post it cause I came up with it about 15 mins. after our chat and I actually put it in less that 5 mins. before the game started.

lowell, I'm thinking about putting 3 figs. down on one of these miracle Basket bets which is a humungous bet for me. Did that only on horseracing a LONG time ago on 3 separate occasions and lost 2 outa 3.

I think I'll start working on it now and try NOT to ruin the magic by handicapping it too comprehensively (59 cent word). And I don't recommend any moocher (read n run type) or member follows me cause my record with making huge bets, for me that is, ain't good.

You too - sometimes 2 heads agreeing on a game is better than one.

My $110 dollar BB plick was Vandy, they won, they covered and ,, ,, and I CHICKENED OUT. SAMB!(<---Son=Ah -Mah- Beech). I had the urge to make a big bet that day and I went over nearly every game more than one time and really didn't get that warm, fuzzy feeling for any of them. Vandy was the one I kept going back to. Still, overcoming the URGE to bet when your confidence is under 90% is a good thing.

IF I do come up with that fat $ play I'll post it in this forum and post it well before the game starts and rest assured win or lose I know myself and I won't be doing that again for quite some time.

I got 4 plays (tickets) going now, 3 teasers and 1 reg, parlay without buying any pts. and they are listed above this post.... .. Mass and Neb. Most of the others are basketball plays and this is an NCAAF forum. I think that there Mass. in a 10 point teaser is like the WILD card (like automatic wiener). One of my reasons is that I don't believe BYU is a "pedal to the medal/floor" type team. Got Mass in 2 of them tickets, 1 of them is a 7 1/2 pt. tease.

Busy week for me this week.

I'm gonna post my first "ticket", a teaser of course, right up front here and I'll follow that with my past week's report that every reader is gonna think it is the biggest pile of bull crap they ever read in here. BUT, remember this report from Dimes consists of mostly teasers and teasers add a LOT of probability to the chances of covering at the expense of risking more $ for less returns.
