Got Snow ?

We got lucky--if you can call it that--only a total of 7 inches on the ground, with light flurries currently. Wind is howling though. they pulled the plows off the roads at 6 AM this morning--wife and kids and I are home today.
Too cold to go outside--over under on what time I crack my 1st beer is 2 pm...:142smilie
Weatherman said it got above 32 degrees for a while last night--so we got a rain/snow mix for a while. 50 miles south of here all they got was freezing rain out of this storm.
Snow was very heavy when I shoveled it--should keep the drifting down here in town, but I'm sure its nasty out on the highways...:sadwave:

We got about 28-31 degrees here. With 12-18" of snow....that means it's the good, wet "snowman" snow, or "heart attack" snow for shovelers.
I think we ended up with about 6 inches here - pretty much done now. Wind has taken over, going to be brutal the next day or so, but we're lucky we didn't get more snow to blow around tonight. Didn't even blow out the dog kennel, it would drift back in there in no time, and the dog seemed pretty focused on doing his business and running back inside this morning... :mj23:
Have to drive in to work next two days, not looking forward to that. My usual 2.5 hours total on the road will be a lot longer, I'm afraid. :mj16:

Not a minute after I made my post, the power went out. Off for about an hour. Just started snowing here again. Agree with Chadman. Snow may be over but the winds the next two days will make getting to and from work a real pain.
Just finished shoveling. About 12 inches total. Took me 3 hours!!
