Anybody use this?

I am going to be needing this or something like it. I checked their site and it's sounds great and only 100 bucks a year.

Any feedback?

+1

Use logmein too

Its great and free

Can't remotely move files or print locally but there are ways around that.

Download it on the computer you want
Give it a password
Then you can access it from any computer that has internet access by just going to logmein.com

Jack, UltraVnc is all you need and its free ( it's opensource code).
I been using it for a long time to access systems in my office when I work from home.
(it is the onlly vnc that Big Blue lets us use because it's the most secure. Other software may be a big security risk)

http://www.uvnc.com/downloads/ultravnc.html

Just start the server version on the system you want to access and use the viewer to access it from anywhere.

Nice find!

Apparently, you can turn the wallpaper off on the PC you want to access and you can watch what's going on in the room from the monitor view.

I didn't mess with looking into doing that since nobody will be there anyway. Maybe it needs a cam. Like I said...

Sitting here thinking.

I installed, no problem. I added the parameters to the program they said I needed to add. When I tried to connect, it wouldn't let me. "could not connect to server" is what it said, or some shit.

I tried quite a few different configurations and finally saw the IP of the server. It was their IP so I put that in instead of my IP of the computer I want to connect to and it went through and connected.

Do these people have access to my computer since, I suppose, the program is installed on their server?

Just wondering....

And you have to be semi-advanced with computers (which I consider myself) in order to figure out how to turn the program off. Most people would have the thing running forever because they wouldn't even know it was running.

Just wondering....

Why is it free?

It's great as long as nobody can get into my system.

Any feedback on my concerns?
