Mags, just when I think your posts can't get any more absurd, you prove me wrong... :mj07:True or False: Obama is the leader of the Democratic party?
Obviously True. So if Weiner goes, then Obama should go.
No different than Murdock. A leader is a leader. Oh, that's right, Obama is not a leader. But he is a liar and a socialist.
The VAST majority of intelligence, talent, inititive, drive, determination and entreprenuerial spirit is born of the middle and lower classes. It's always been that way and it'll always be that way. There are many exceptions to that truism, but they're just that... exceptions. Some folks are not capable, either artistically or mentally, of being in the upper class. Just the way that it is.
If you'd like to roll back the Bush tax cuts, fine, let's roll them back - but ALL of them. It would help tremendously, as we have far too many people not paying taxes today (50%). Shared sacrafice.

You are one naive dude if you believe that every member of the upper class got there through hard work, self sacrifice and superior intelligence or talent.
Mags proving once again that...
"The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness." -- John Kenneth Galbraith
You see this just proves that you do not understand the problem. You still want to take money out of the pocket of the middle class. Don't you understand that is the problem. And the more you take away the more you are going to have to pay out in welfare, food stamps, medical, etc.
ooops
Sorry Mags I just posted same article (real change) did my posting before reading forum.
--anyway--as they say the proof is in the pudding.
We need to chop federal gov and increase states rights.
Live and let live-Let each live with the merits of their own convictions--
I promise I won't compromise and be vacationing in any of those 95% dem voting districts![]()
It's also absolutely true that many members of the upper class do not possess the intelligence, drive or ability to have gotten there on their own merits. And it is absolutely true - some people do not have the intelligence, drive or ability to be in the upper class.
It's also absolutely true that many members of the upper class do not possess the intelligence, drive or ability to have gotten there on their own merits.
So what's your point?
The middle class is f*cked. ....blah. blah....blah....blah....
And that is where your middle class went - or should go - to find the jobs.
When are you leaving?
Yes, I'm headed to France... what don't you meet me there at the Flower shop you have drinks at every night....:mj07:
The point is, the folks in the upper class are already there - one way or another.
The middle class is f*cked. And there isn't much we can do about it. Giving money away is not the answer - just like anyone, they have to earn it.
But with a free world economy, we can build things as cheaply (or arguably as well) as China and Mexico. And that is where the jobs are for these folks.
Maybe it is time for the immigration stream to change - folks won't be coming here for low level jobs anymore - they will be moving to other countries instead to find work? I realize that is not all that palatable for some, but I guess the world changes - I know it has for me - and we all have to find a way to adapt.
Talking to a lot of guys that run businesses that I know, in the last 3 years government regulation just keeps getting more difficult to deal with. It adds costs and disincents folks from starting new businesses/adding employees. Labor unions are making it harder and harder to turn a profit. Labor is cheaper, regulation is easier to deal with in other countries.
The government (all of it, but especially the current administration) is really doing all it can to shut down business. And that is what is really hurting the middle class and the poor. I truly believe Obama, et al, THINKS they are doing the right thing by adding all the various regulations to the insurance and financial sector. Obama THINKS he is doing the right thing by trying to shut down Boeing in SC - and getting rid of a ton of jobs there.
But Obama is so far over his head and has really, really hurt our economy. But its not surprising given his background. No business experience, his only real experience was a community organizer.
I don't blame companies for moving out and doing business in countries that allow you to breathe. And that is where your middle class went - or should go - to find the jobs.
Bush was losing 700,000 jobs a month but this is Obamas fault? Please explain?
When Obama pushed through the "stimulus" and bailed out the automakers, he promised that this would keep unemployment at 8% or less.
We are now well over 9%.
He also has passed legislation that has hurt the economy (jobs) - such as Obamacare. I know for a fact that numerous companies had to lay off people due to it. And some companies just got out of the marketplace.
And many businesses, survey after survey have shown, are not hiring/expanding as they are worried about the costs of the bill. As they should be.
You think Medicare/Medicaid costs a lot? Wait till we expand entitlements to 50% or more of the US population (via the prem subsidies). And all of our prems will go up more than if Obamacare was implemented.
Wait and see... :nono:
Bingo. Give that man a cigar.I agree, the Republicans weakened Obama Care so much that it is really Romney Care which is a gold mine for the insurance companies. Not what we wanted at all.
Mags' answer to middle-class unemployment... MOVE TO CHINA!!!The middle class is f*cked. And there isn't much we can do about it.

The best part is Mags knows what a boon to the insurance industry Obamacare will be. How could it not be?
