I caught the pause in Joe's call and thought it had to be 1 of 2 things. Either he was second-guessing whether the ball was going to get out, or in mid-sentence realize he was using his dad's call.

My guess is he was waiting to see if the ball was going to make it out of the ball park. I think he knew if by the small chance he could call a walk-off homer for the Cards that he would use his dad's line. I thought it was very cool.

Amazing game, when Josh went deep I thought it was over. The fight in the Cards was beyond belief last night. Probably the best MLB game I have ever watched.
