i think so anyway.

NFL contest.

everybody pony up $100 and winner take all.

the $100 will be an entry fee.

no rollover.

no waiting to withdrawal. it's cash money.

the more people in, the bigger the prize.

money will be held in a safe place. guaranteed.

pick 3 games every week, no spread. just pick the winner.

you guys game?

let's hear some feedback.

higher entry fee? lower?

more places paid?

how many will play?

I'd play but we'll get about 4 players.

Free roll poker- 150 players with a waiting list

10 dollar poker tourney- 8 players

I'M IN.... would like to see more places paid tho, like maybe one spot for every 10-15 entrants; for example 58 players would pay 4-6 places.

On the course!
This is what I'm looking for. I don't want to jump through the fuking hoops that the books demand I must do.

In.

And Kosar, I think we can get at least a couple dozen guys. Not every poster here is a "cherry picking" douchebag, looking for the free ride every week.

Yeah, I know. I was exaggerating with the 'four players' comment, but i'd be surprised if we got 25. People will jump in here and say 'in' (not saying you or taximike) but when it comes time to actually send the money...well, you know how that goes.

If you'll accept a basic everyday non cherry-picking garden variety douchebag then I am in for sure. Are we talking best record at the end of the year Jack or some type of elimination process?

I'll play, but I'd rather the picks be against the spread and I'd rather have it be 5 games per week. I think the payout structure should be similar to taximike's suggestion with a small payout going to last place.

I would prefer just 3 games a week against the number. Probably in favor of brackets of 10-15 players each as well. Great idea

I like ATS better also and agree on comment of paying out more places. Prefer 5 picks a week to separate field better but 3 is okay.

In other words, I also like the Hilton format.

Brackets idea might be interesting.

Bracket winners (+ wildcards) could go into a playoff pool of separate dough? Maybe too complicated.

I can only get 30-40 people for the NCAA March madness and that is only $10.

For once I agree with Kosar.

I'm in. Could we just neteller Jack personally? I have never did a personal transaction through neteller just mostly deposits to the sponsor books. I don't know if you would want to mess with checks so then there isn't fees involved- whatever mode of pay I will play. Whatever everbody decides on the setup is fine by me also.

Who are you? It says you've been here since 1999 and have like 800 posts, but your screen name doesn't ring a bell.

It case you didn't get the memo, anybody who doesn't agree with me at least 80% of the time loses all credibility.

I would do it too. Winner take all sounds interesting...or top 3 places (60%, 30%, 10%) could be interesting too.

Not sure who mentioned it (ocelot?)...but a playoff after 14 weeks sounds like a cool idea too. Maybe take the top 8 records---seed everybody by record---1 plays 8, 2v7, etc. in Week 15, winnere meet in Week 16.....and so on until the season is over. That way, even if you aren't a top dog throughout, you still have a shot to 'qualify' for the playoffs. Just keeps everybody alive and active longer.......

I also like ATS better. I just can't think in straight-up terms. :) 3 or 5 games, makes no difference to me, though more games = less likelihood of a tie at season's end.

60 / 30 / 10 is a pretty standard prize breakdown. Would keep a couple more people interested should one person get out to a huge lead.

To keep it really interesting...maybe consider a rule where if you go 0-3 (or 0-5) for a week you are eliminated entirely? This way it's never really over til it's over.
