THAT'S WHY THE PPPP SERIES HAS BEEN SO POPULAR!!! IT'S FREE WITH CASH PRIZES!!! Count me OUT! But be on the lookout for the PPPP 5, the best contest of it's kind on the net today.

On the course!
I guess I won't be in either, if it requires signing up with a new book, and sending them the money.

...not to be a pain in the ass, kosar, but it's "Et tu," not "E tu." ;)

...as in....

Et tu, Brute?

(et TOOH BROOH-tay) A Latin sentence meaning ?Even you, Brutus?? from the play Julius Caesar, by William Shakespeare. Caesar utters these words as he is being stabbed to death, having recognized his friend Brutus among the assassins. 1
? ?Et tu, Brute?? is used to express surprise and dismay at the treachery of a supposed friend.

...okay, now carry on, gentlemen. :)

I'm backpedalling as I'm not looking for a pick'em contest especially with 3 teams/week. Seems like a crapshoot compared to an ATS 5 games a week contest where the cream always rises to the top :)

I also think yyz stated that he wasn't looking to go through any hoops and signing up with a book is a "hoop".

But if you're not signed up with BetJamaica, you should be. They're top-tier.

And et tu means "and you, Brutus?" and the Romans had plenty of shortened terms for their words as other cultures do. So while kosar may not be writing in the King's latin, he still would be understood to the Romans on the street.

lol- yes Taoist, I know that that phrase is not Spanish and I know the origin. Was typing fast, must have missed the 'T'.. Nice catch?

Bobby,

Not sure it's much of a 'hoop' to take literally 2 minutes to sign up at a book. Like I mentioned early in this thread, most people eventually find a reason not to pony up.

I like this idea overall and GM's elimination of going 0-fer is a nice way to keep the pressure on all year. Like ATS also.

I am not intending to sign up with a new book, and pay the silly fees required send them money for a contest. I assumed that Jack was running the contest, and would be holding the cash. Had that been the case, I would gladly contribute a C-note.

Maybe I will change my mind, but I doubt it.

yyz-- I could easily be corrected, but the way I understood is that you don't have to deposit money there to enter. The money will be held somewhere else. You may have to register as a member, but I didn't think depositing there would be a requirement.

from Jack's first post
money will be held in a safe place, guaranteed

I took this as it would not be at a book but somewhere else.
