Green Bay gets the boots put to them today.

I hear all this shit about the Packers rarely losing two in a row. Yeah....this is true. But, they rarely play an 8-2 team on the road, with the best defense in the league, fighting for home field advantage, after that first loss.

The whole world knows that the Packers suck in domes, yet so many people, (Me included!), have a hard time betting against them! Now, people want to say that the Packers will bounce back today?

I am finally making a stand aginst these pretenders, as the Bucs have had GB's number 4 straight years at home. Green Bay has even more players hurt after last week, and they are so thin, it is a joke. Brett will be doing his usual flinging of the ball once the Packers fall behind, and I would bet he has more picks than tds today, by about a 2-1 margin.

Tampa will be able to run the ball all day, against the NFL's 30th ranked run defense, while Favre will have a hard time getting points aginst the best pass defense out there. Now, Tampa gets these stats against some weak competition, but they will pressure Favre, and that's all any team needs to do to get to him.

I would love to see the Pack get this win, but as a realist.......that seems highly unlikely.

Tampa Bay -3

Tampa Bay 24 Green Bay 13

3 units

----------------------------------------------------

In another game, that I like to call the "Woes Bowl", two shitty teams knock skulls.

Detroit is catching 6 points form a dismal bear team. I love getting points when two mutts take the field. The bears are playing a 13-3 team schedule, with a team that should heve been 8-8 last year, and it shows. Remember all the miracle finishes last season, that padded their record? Gimmie 6 points, and I'll take it!

Detroit +6

Chicago 24 Detroit 20

2 units

Agreed....and agreed!

The Bucs get no respect, but lots of people don't value defence. If you're not flashy and scoring 40 a game, people just don't respect you. And the Bucs offence is NOT as bad as everyone would have you think. Not too many of us on TB this week, but I am with you, -3 -105.

Re: Lions/Bears: I also think a team on an 8-game losing streak laying almost a TD is ridiculous. Basically the Bears have to play flawlessly to cover this number. Maybe they win, but asking them to cover this much...I will gladly take the points too.

Good luck yyz!

Stats are misleading. The run defense was very poor first couple of games due to new players and Nate wayne not 100%. Packers will dare Johnson to throw because they know he can't beat them. Do not underestimate the run defense. Packes defensive coordinator is one of the best and he will have his players in postion to force Tampa out of their game. I do not buy into the Gruden hype. This is still an offensively challenged offense. GB 27 TB 17.

The Pack still looks like a Chinese Fire Drill on the road.

I can't sit back, and let another golden opportunity pass me by, by thinking, "today is the day they break the streak". Last week, I loved the Vikes, but wanted so badly to believe the Pack would "snap out of it". Favre has a shit record in domes!

Now, he takes his team on the road.....another bad place for them, and goes into the best defense in the league?

Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice...............;)

Many fans tend to have the same reaction as xyz is having because the Packers look so pitiful in the Metrodome. Today they are outside, on grass, and even though the Bucs have handled them 4 in a row in Tampa, I propose that you will see a different Packer squad this week than you did last week.

Tampa Bay has no QB. All they need to do is force the Bucs to throw the ball in order to win. I think Green Bay ends the Bucs home streak against them today with a close game victory.

Green Bay has surpassed most people's hopes for the season already. Depleted by injuries, the Pack have hung in there this year in good stead. I give them an excellent chance to beat TBay. The Buc offense is often a field goal and the difference at QB is monstrous. This is the prototype game for a 3 point spread. Good luck to all that wager.

YYZ likes the Bucs here? I'll take the Pack for 5 units, please.....;)

Ditto.

Not 5 units, and not because YYZ is taking the bucs, I just like the Pack catching points, coming off of a straight up loss.

The more I look at it, the more I like the chances of Green Bay. I don't see how the Bucs can chew up yards rushing despite the fact that the Pack has a low rated defense. I am guessing the Pack will hae a better yards per carry average than the Bucs in this game. The Bucs have looked their best against weaker teams while better teams have scored 20 plus points. I think the Bucs average well under 100 yards per game on the ground and I doubt that will skyrocket against the Packers. If TB puts 8 in the box to shut down the Packers running game, Favre will kill them. The Pack will be able to run here. At any rate - it should be a great game.

I love it!!!!!! All the same arguments made the last four years. (Which I played into all those times.....)

Tampa Bay has no QB

.....and they never do, and they always hold the Pack to a low score on defense.

I don't see how the Bucs can chew up yards rushing despite the fact that the Pack has a low rated defense

I don't think the Bucs will need to. Their defense will get them the ball at least 3 times today, and they will start on the Packer 30 or better two of those times. Short field=quick scores.

Favre will kill them

He hasn't the last four years, and the Pack was healthier, and the Bucs had less of a defense!

Until Green Bay can show me that they can beat teams on the road, I will take the spread of a FG or less. If they win today, it will only be one win. They need to do it convicingly against the good teams out there.

Keep the debate going, fellas!

Redfanny,

Take the bears with the pack, as a nice two-teamer!

Thanks BBC, and Jack.

Jack, nothing on the Bucks tonight......sorry. I can't see an edge with the "Shaq factor".

I hated to see the Packers get pounded, but let's face it......they just can't beat the studs on the road.

I believe they will take stock in these two losses, and absolutely pound the bears next week, but with limited players, and more falling each game, that is not a 'wager' yet.

The Packers are far too short on reserves, to go far this season, in the playoffs........sad but true. One home game looks like the best we will get.

Thanks again for the kudos!

Pack will not cover ATS more then 2 more games this year. There SU should be 3 & 2. Platoffs yes. One win there and out the next game.
