Why does it seem these days that everything coming out of the USA is trashy??

Im not slagging I promise. Im a father of a 7 yr old girl and obviously I live in Toronto.

We have a legit Directv subscription and wide open fta dishnetwork. We also have Rogers cable which is Canadian.

We are no longer allowing our daughter to watch either direct or dish because of the shows/commercials/ and other little hidden agendas American tv seems to have.

The music/videos are all trash and immoral depiction.

Am I wrong?

They make movies and TV shows to make money. Do like me and don't watch television.

NO, I wouldn't let my 7 year old watch MTV, period.

Dickie I appreciate your opinion. True the Jonas Bros dont sing about immoral things- yet that is.

And I dont like the message Disney is sending with these Bros. They pound and pound and pound the marketing at these innocent little kids. Ive never been a fan of brainwashing. And thats exactly what they are doing. Hell even you said they were good. Was Led Zeppelin good or Pink Floyd. I put the Jonas Bros even less talented than that Hannah Montana crap. Just my opinion

Problem I have is the commercials, even on Disney. They just seem to want to make kids stupid.

Teenage pregnancy rates. 10-11 yr olds having sex/bjs, pregnant. Grades falling dramatically over the last 20 yrs. Teachers having alot of sex with underage students. Etc etc.... my finger hurts.

Everything seems to be about $$ and nothing else. Morals are all but gone it seems.
