humidity out the asshole and what do i have to do.

Take my dog to the vet to have his anal glands squeezed:scared :scared or cleaned out, what a hell of a day i am telling ya, on beer 4 now they all taste like water today. Was sitting out in the back yard drinking a beer watching him trying to chit for 10 mins. still no luck yet, they gave me good ole alcohol spray to spray on his arse, damn that has to feel good.... What a day, time to crack another beer....

Ok, I have to ask. Your dog had to have his 'anal glands squeezed?' And then they gave you an alcohol spray to chase him around to mist his ass?

What is this all about, man? What's going on?

Not really, Andy, but it's happened a few times when I was off guard and i'm not sure I found it as exciting as the freakshow gals might have thought it would be.

is this a male, non-neutered dog? If so, I think they don't have this problem hardly ever if they are neutered. It will just get worse as he gets old too. Our old Chessie never had a problem with it until he was 12, then it was trips to the vet for surgery about 6 times until he died from old age. He had what you're describing and some kind of anal tumors that required some surgery. Nothing much more sad than having to put an old dog through surgery like that then having to put a cone on him so he won't lick himself and tear out the sutures. He was too healthy otherwise to even consider putting him down, but if untreated, those anal tumors lead to a nasty, impacted death.

Yeah Sixfive he is neutered, 1st time i ever dealt w/this w/any dog, my vet said they are getting alot of these cases lately because of the high heat.

Luckily the dog was much more comfortable last nite, and let everyone sleep through the nite.
