thanks again guys, I really appreciate the nice comments. it was the right thing to do, and we did all we could to save him. He will be missed.

It really does suck have been there. You will know when time is right again because they are part of the family, a few others have said this when time is right get a rescue dog. We work with best friends out of utah , that has a vegas place. All of our dogs have been rescue pups all full breed 1 golden, a akita, belgium shepherd and so was our cat.
Hang in there you did all you could, sucks to say but it's one of the things when being a pet owner, or least a good owner.

Hey if you want a hyper dog and a good hunting dog look into a Vizla.

hedge..so sorry to hear that....been there and done that so many times in my life. They are a part of our lives....I have had boxers all my life....King,Max,Rocky,Spinks Bubba.King and Max lived till they were 13 and 12 yrs old.Rocky was 9,Spinks 8 and Bubba who was 6.Now I have Sasha who is 7 and my 1st non-boxer Mambo.My wife is a member of "boxer rescue".Nothing like growing up with dogs. Sorry for your loss....
sorry to hear this hedge. put my dog down last year and actually held her in my arms when she was getting the shot from the vet. hardest thing I've done but wouldn't have it any other way. haven't gotten another one yet but that time is coming, I want a golden retreiver... hang in there

I bought a Pomeranian 4 months ago! Her name is Coco, named by my 10-year old Zack.
I LOVE THIS DOG!!!!!
Worst part is that I know in 10-15 years I have to put her down. How bad is that? I'm already thinking about that!
I swore I would never get a dog because of all the hurt you guys go through when your dog passes on. And then I go and buy a Pom!!!
So, in about 10-15 years, if I don't die, I can tell you how I' hurting because I had to put my dog down.
I pray I'm here in 15 years.
I have a nickel that Coco lives longer than me!

my golden just turned 1, the fam and I watched Harley and me about a month ago...wow, ridiculous but makes me enjoy every moment when we go to the park...etc...life is good--enjoy it till the end

Hedge I am so sorry to hear this. Dogs become part of the family and are one of our kids. Just remember, all of our dogs will be waiting in heaven for us.
